To save, to rescue, deliverance. all these things general means getting help. But in the spiritual context from what?
Genesis 2:16–17 NKJV
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”
gen 2:1
The command was given not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 3:1–6 NKJV
1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” 4 Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.

Who can save us?

Matthew 1:21 NKJV
21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
for he will save His people from their sins
Acts 10:43 NKJV
43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”
whosoever believes in Him will receive remission of sin
1 Timothy 2:5 NKJV
5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

There is only one way to be saved, and that is Jesus Christ.
no one can do it for you, I don’t need any person between me and my God.

What is required to be saved?

Matthew 8:1 NKJV
1 When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him.
hebrews 9:32
9:32
Hebrews 9:22 NKJV
22 And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
Ephesians 1:7 NKJV
7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace
ep
Not just any blood, but the blood of Jesus alone can give us redemption and forgiveness.
Those things that was done before, the sacrificing of goats and sheep were only pointing to the true sacrifice.
Hebrews 10:1–4 NKJV
1 For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. 2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. 3 But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins.
vs 4 states plainly that they could NOT do the job. It was only the blood of that perfect lamb that can save us.
Hebrews 9:1–14 NKJV
1 Then indeed, even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service and the earthly sanctuary. 2 For a tabernacle was prepared: the first part, in which was the lampstand, the table, and the showbread, which is called the sanctuary; 3 and behind the second veil, the part of the tabernacle which is called the Holiest of All, 4 which had the golden censer and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that had the manna, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant; 5 and above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat. Of these things we cannot now speak in detail. 6 Now when these things had been thus prepared, the priests always went into the first part of the tabernacle, performing the services. 7 But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people’s sins committed in ignorance; 8 the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. 9 It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience— 10 concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation. 11 But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. 12 Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. 13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Hebrews 9:11–14 NKJV
God not only cleanses your soul but your conscience also.

Hebrews 7:25 NKJV
25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
He saves to the uttermost (completely or perfectly), when you put you life in God’s hands and trust Him. He will completely save you.
But faith in Him is needed.
Romans 10:11–13 NKJV
11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
rom 10:11

When we come to Him for forgiveness what happens?

just come to him and lay all your sin and fault at the feet of Jesus and be made whole.

He is coming back
We can’t continue to live in sin
2 Peter 3:10 NKJV
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
Don’t delay your surrendering to God
Luke 12:39 NKJV
39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

We do not know when Jesus will come
Revelation 20:11 NKJV
11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them.
And when he does come there will be no place to hide or time to repent and ask to be saved.
The time is now
2 Corinthians 6:2 NKJV
2 For He says: In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
God doesn’t want any to be lost
John 3:16 NKJV
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
He sent his son so that all may have everlasting life.
It was so important that only His son could rescue us from the trouble we were in.
Isaiah 55:1–7 NKJV
1 “Ho! Everyone who thirsts, Come to the waters; And you who have no money, Come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. 2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread, And your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, And let your soul delight itself in abundance. 3 Incline your ear, and come to Me. Hear, and your soul shall live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you— The sure mercies of David. 4 Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people, A leader and commander for the people. 5 Surely you shall call a nation you do not know, And nations who do not know you shall run to you, Because of the Lord your God, And the Holy One of Israel; For He has glorified you.” 6 Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.
is 55:1-

Spending on that which will not satisfy
vs 3 come to me and hear and your soul shall live.
Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
salvation is there for all and God would have all to live
Salvation is there for all and God would have all to live, but it’s completely up to you. You need to choose the path he has laid out in His word and live. Jesus can only be our salvation if we let Him. If you have not made the decision to give yourself to God, then I would invite you to do so while there is still time. you can speak to the pastor or someone in this church.
