A Name: A Hebrew name described a persons character or nature.

6  For to us a child is born,

to us a son is given;

and the government shall be upon his shoulder,

and his name shall be called

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

A father provides protection

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

A father provides a place of rest

28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29

God’s timing not our calendar
Because he is eternal time is subject to him. Don’t be a slave to your calendar

A Father gives good gifts

8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? 11 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

God’s gift’s may not be what you expect.

6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

The Wrapping is not the whole gift.
