Lamb

John 1:29 NKJV
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
From the open events of the history of man we clearly see the pan of to provide the sacrifice for the sin of man
When Adam and Eve came to God wearing their fig leaves, God rejected the efforts of man to cover his own failures!
Genesis 3:6–7 NKJV
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.
We see that the there was a shedding of blood of an innocent animals and God provided a covering for their sin
Genesis 3:21 NKJV
Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.
We see the command of God to the people to slay a lamb and put the blood of the lamb on the doorposts of the house and angel of judgement will “passover” them and they will be protected.
Exodus 12:21–23 NKJV
Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to them, “Pick out and take lambs for yourselves according to your families, and kill the Passover lamb. And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two doorposts with the blood that is in the basin. And none of you shall go out of the door of his house until morning. For the Lord will pass through to strike the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood on the lintel and on the two doorposts, the Lord will pass over the door and not allow the destroyer to come into your houses to strike you.
Notice that the Lord did not ask “who” would be inside the house under the covering of the blood!
Isaiah 30:15 NKJV
For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: “In returning and rest you shall be saved; In quietness and confidence shall be your strength.” But you would not,
2 Peter 3:9 NKJV
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
So why did Jesus need to become flesh?
Hebrews 2:14–18 NKJV
Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham. Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.
Sin was committed in the flesh and payment is due from the flesh. The problem is that sin is passed on through the flesh so even in iniquity I was born!
Psalm 51:5 NKJV
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.
How then can we expect to pay for our sin?
John 1:29 NKJV
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
Hebrews 4:15–16 NKJV
For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
It was the great exchange, my unrighteousness for His righteousness!
His grace gave me what I didn’t deserve, His mercy didn’t give me what I did deserve
Today you can become a child of God, sin forgiven, clear consciousness, and the guarantee of a new life
