Mark 5:25–34 KJV 1900
And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Dilemma of Issues
25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,
Here is a woman, as the text describes, with an issue that she’s had for a very long time.
She’s unnamed but identified as a person with an issue.
How many times in life does our issues come before our name?
You know like “Crack Head” Ezell?
“Lying” Felecia
“Cheating” Tommy
“D-Boy” Quan
“Twerking” Meka
“Drunk” Larry
Don’t act like you don’t have issues.
We all got issues.
Your issue may not be my issue and my issue may not be your issue but we all have issues.
Some of us have money issues. You ain’t never got enough to cover all the bills in the month and if you did you would still have to borrow some because the water bill has run 2 into 1 and the payday loan people has already got theirs out of the account.
Maybe your the one with too much money and everybody and their mama is calling your phone asking to borrow what you have. Your cousin need a loan, your mama need a loan, your sister need a loan, even the church need a loan.
Maybe you have a relationship issue. You thought that by now he would have stop hanging on Fullilove in Jack Quarters and figured out that no one holds him like you. That he would at least change your title from Trap Queen to Wifey.
Maybe you are married and can’t stand the site of the person you come home to everyday. Everyday your spouse is nagging about something. And Lord I don’t feel like it today. That’s why that pint of Crown Royal is under your seat right now because that’s your only escape.
We all got issues.
On top of having an issue, she was dealing with it a mighty long time.
26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,
Issue of Physical Pain
The text now says that she had suffered many things by many physicians because of this issue.
May I also suggest unto you that her issues was specific and tailor made just for her. This was the 1st time in the entire Bible that this issue was mentioned.
Which is the reason why she had to see many doctors.
Right now you are going through something tailor made just for you.
Know one can understand “IT” because they are not in “IT.”
Stop telling people that, “I Know What You Are Going Through.”
You “know of” but you don’t “know this.”
Issue of Fiancial Pain
The text then tells us that she had spent all that she had and still wasn’t better but worse.
The text now suggest that at a point in time that this woman was “Somebody.”
But over time she became her issue.
You have to be careful of folks that want to hold your issues rather past or present over your head.
Those are the “Remember When” Folks.
They can remember when your were selling dope but have amnesia when it comes to remembering that they were the ones buying it from you.
They can remember when you was thotting but want tell nobody that they were the trick coming after your treats.
They can remember when you went to jail but want recognize the fact that reason you went was because you slapped somebody on their behalf.
I am not my Issue but I am my Testimony!
You see it was God who delivered me from selling dope because if I would have gotten locked up my kids would have grown up without their father.
You see it was God that delivered me from thotting because I could have gotten AIDS and lost my life but he held me together long enough to marry and now I don’t have to answer the phone in order to get a bill paid because he yolked me up with a provider.
You see he delivered me from my quick temper because God knows if I would have kept that attitude I would be in somebody’s grave by now because people would rather shoot you dead instead talk out differences.
The text also suggest that not only was she somebody but she was somebody with some money.
She had an issue that prevented her from working for 12 years.
Because this issue was one that was uncontrollable, which caused her to not be able to come out in public because her garments were stained from blood, and she also had an odor.
Her issue dictated her life.
Since she couldn’t work, the text tells us that for 12 years she went from physician to physician only to get worse until she had spent everything.
She did all of this without the assistance of Obamacare, Bluecross Blueshield, Aetna, United Health, Cigna, or Aflac.
She did this all on the money she already had.
She had enough money to sustain her for 12 years.
And some of us don’t even have enough money in the bank to last us 12 Days.
Issue of Mental/Personal Pain
After going through many years of different procedures from different doctors.
After spending 12 years of savings and possessions.
After going through physical pain, financial pain, now mental pain, she is at a point where she has run out of options.
Have you ever been to a place of frustration?
I’ve spent everything I’ve had and I’m still not better. What’s wrong with me?
I’ve endured pain, I’ve endured embarrassment, I’ve endured folks talking about me, and nothing still isn’t better. What’s wrong with me?
I go to church Lord and I pay my tithes and even give a liberal offering but still I’m the one who can’t get over the hump financially and always seem to be struggling. What’s wrong with me.
I’m here on Wednesday nights and I make sure that my kids are active in church but yet my child is the one that’s always getting bullied when they go to school. Now here I am frustrated and want to hurt somebody behind my baby because I don’t play behind my child. What’s wrong with me?
Then when I get up in church and ask for prayer because I’m dealing with a lot the preacher is telling me to be strong because he knows what I’m going through but the truth is what I’m going through is tailor made for me so you don’t know what I’m going through. You tell me to wait on God but today I feel like God has forgotten about me. What’s wrong with me?
Now every time someone approaches me I’m saying, “ Don’t push me I’m to close to the edge, I’m trying not to lose my head. It’s like a jungle sometimes it’s makes me wonder how I keep from going under.” What’s wrong with me?
Have you ever been to a place called frustration?
I can imagine this woman asking herself and asking God, “What’s wrong with me?”
God said that you are asking the wrong question.
The question is not “What’s wrong” but instead it’s “Where am I taking you.”
Your issue was nothing more than preparation for your destiny.
Dilemma of Interferences
27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. 28 For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.
If you are ever going to receive your miracle you have to learn to press in the midst of pain.
Dealing with issues the text now tells us that in spite of it, she heard of Jesus and started to press on.
She Heard - “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans’ 10:17
In the midst of it all you have to find the Faith to Fight On.
Does anybody have the faith to fight on?
She Fought - “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
Fight for your Family
Fight for your Finances
Fight for your Church
Fight for your Healing
Fight for you Peace of Mind
She Won
