It's Getting Real!

Intro:

We are in the season of Advent. Advent means to expect or to be in expectation. The world of Palestine had been under Roman occupation for over 60 years. Many of the Hebrew people were depressed and discouraged as Israel once again had fallen into captivity. The only hope that Israel had was God, but the Romans continued to allow the Jewish people to worship their God and continue seemingly in a religious way. They could do everything as it refers to church except act on on their beliefs that God was a deliverer. If you promoted anything above the Roman government you would be and were sentenced to death. So the people found themselves in what was seemingly a hopeless situation. Church when you are in despair the only thing you have is hope. Many times your hope is anchored to God’s word, because when what you said has failed what God said is real and relevant! The local scholars and religious leaders of the Jewish people held fast to the utterances written in old scrolls almost 600 years old. See many of you all would have given up after that much time, but thank God for those who remain yet faithful! says, “A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a branch will bear fruit. The spirit of the Lord will rest on him.” said, “The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land … This is the name by which he will be called: the Lord our righteous savior.” says, “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” said, “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and you will call him Immanuel.” The prophets through the power of God spoke into the future of God’s chosen people to let them know although you are going to run into spiritual bankruptcy I will bring you out. Although you will go into deep spiritual depression I will bring you out. Although you will lose the rule of your land that I gave you I will raise up a new Ruler! To top it all off I will do it in a way that it has never been done before through a Woman and a virgin woman at that! Somebody wake your neighbor up and tell them it’s about to get real in your life!!!!!

Prophecy:

Mary was minding her own business. Doing what little Jewish girls did. Living and learning how to care for a family and her husband. The bible says she was betrothed which means to be engaged to get married. Just a quick side note you all do know that marriage is still God’s plan. Let me get back to the text. She is engaged to be married but there is a collision between her plans and expectations and prophecy. She was looking forward to a great wedding and party and riding out life in marital bliss, but the words of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Micah, and many others collides with her life. Gabriel the Angel shows up in the hood of Nazareth at poor little maidens house and announces, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; [e]blessed are you among women!” Her response confirms that Mary is from the hood, because she looks at Gabriel as if he was crazy and was wondering what in the world is this fool talking about! Before she could respond Gabriel then says, “Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. 31 You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.” At this very moment Prophetic utterance became real in Mary’s life and in the land of Israel, because God’s word is true. UPS or FedEx will not show up at your house unless they have something to deliver. When the doorbell rings or if you have Ring with that camera and you see UPS or FedEx you can expect a package. Normally before you even get notification of a package they send you a tracking number to keep up with the whereabouts of your package. The difference here is that God gave Israel a tracking number through prophetic utterance, but he did not tell them when the package was going to be delivered! The main point I want to impress upon you is that if God said it, it will come to pass. In essence when you hear from God through a prophetic utterance it should reshape your expectations. So what if things don’t look good. So what things are not falling in place. So what you are in a captive situation right now. If you remember the tracking number that God gave you in his word then your hope should be built on the expected delivery that’s on the way! Tap that good neighbor again and say neighbor oh neighbor God’s word is about to get real in your life!

Revelation:

So God is revealing to Mary that she is the one to deliver what the prophets are talking about. I know church sometimes it seems like what was said was so long ago that it cannot be true. I know God told you that He was going to do this or that and it has not come to pass. Remember Isreal was under Roman occupation for over 60 yrs at this particular time, but we can never loose hope. The revelation itself was startling, but Mary having enough about her to not doubt it, but worked to understand it. Watch this now. Many times when God speaks the first thing we do is reject it. When the Pastor reveals something new we reject it. When the school system makes changes for the good we reject it. When our plans are changed we reject it. I have a question church. When are we going to stop rejecting the will of God. No it is not comfortable. No it is not convenient. No it is not the way we want it, but if you trust God then trust God’s plan!!!! After the revelation Mary says ok Gabriel or whoever you are help me out if this is God’s will how is this all going to come about. You are talking about a baby, and I am a virgin. So virgin’s mister angle cannot have children hello??? He said oh I understand you are thinking about the anatomical physiological setting in which you are limited. So let me talk over your head a little and put something in your spirit. What God is about to do is not only physical but it is also spiritual, because the Holy Spirit will overshadow you or cover you and place a holy seed within you. Thats why the child you will bear will be called the Son of God, and just in case you doubt it your cousin who was barren is now pregnant because “Nothing is impossible with God”! So when you need confirmation I have already given you someone you can go to in order to confirm what I have placed in you! That’s why church you need to hear God and who God has affirmed for your life, because you cannot go to hellish people to get a godly confirmation. You cannot go to faithless religious people looking for affirmation of your spiritual revelation! Even if they don’t believe you. Even if they don’t understand you. Even if they don’t like you. Even if they don’t affirm you. Remember what the word says “For nothing is impossible with God!!!!!!!! What’s unlikely with man and impossible to people is very possible with God! Can you touch that neighbor for the last time and say neighbor what God reveals is about To Get Real!!!

What I love about Mary is her response, because the truth be told we cannot control what happens to us. The only thing we can control is how we respond. Sometimes life just happens and hell just shows up, but our response is our own responsibility. I want you to understand church that you are responsible for what comes out of your mouth, because what comes out of your mouth is from the abundance of your heart. Proverbs says, The power of Life and Death is in the tongue! Sometimes we are dying because we speak death on it. Sometimes we are blessed because we blessed it with the fruit of our lips. Don’t let your lips derail your destiny! Learn how to speak life even when it looks dead, and learn speak death to that which is holding you down. Thank God for Mary, because Mary was a great example for us. After her bewilderment and after her shock and awe from talking to the Angel of God, she said in verse 38 “May it be to me as you have said.” Don’t miss your shout When God said The first shall be last and the last shall be first if it seems like you are in last place you ought to praise God for your shift! When God said you are a Royal Priesthood and a Holy Nation. When God said you will be blessed coming in and blessed going out. When Jesus said by my stripes you are healed! Can I have a Mary moment and tell you “May it be as you have said” Every prophecy, every utterance, every exortation, every blessing, every promotion, every relationship, every gift, every anointing, every office that God has spoken into your life It’s about to get real. Because God is about to take your prophecy to your revelation and make it your reality!!!!!!
