The Conquering Christ (11)

Rider on a white horse: Roman general would enter a conquered city on a white horse. Symbolic of conqueror.

Two aspects of the conqueror.

Faithful: He can be trusted to judge every enemy of God. What He said is going to happen.

True: as opposed to false. Perfect justice will be rendered.

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” (, NKJV)

Jesus Christ will judge and make war upon the earth in righteousness.

This Christmas we look back to the docile lamb who was wrapped in swaddling clothes and laid in a manager. And, we look forward to the conqueror who is coming again to set things right.
