Much counseling nevertheless avoids the issue of evangelism and yet claims to be Christian.  Some object to evangelism in counseling because they say that counselors must not impose their standards and values upon another.  But that, of course, is precisely what evangelism is all about.  Evangelism imposes new standards and new values.  Evangelism means confronting men with the gospel and commanding them to repent and believe.  Repentance is a change of mind leading to a new outlook in which faith in Christ brings about a change of purpose and a change of direction.  The answer to the objection to evangelism in counseling is simply that the counselor does not impose
