Wise Men Still Seek Him
Wise Men Still Seek Him
During this Christmas season, we need to ask ourselves what we are truly seeking after is. Are we looking for a special gift under the tree, a collective dinner with all our friends and family, a new year that we’ve promised ourselves to make better than the last? Exactly what is it that we thirst after in our imaginations and spirits.
Mat
1 Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking,
2 “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.”
Thousand of years after creation of man, Wise men from the east came seeking him and still there are wise men and women through out the world that come seeking the redeemer of mankind the Alpha the Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.
Today my question to you "did you come seeking the savior?" Have you brought a gift as the wise men did?
What did you come looking for today?
Did you come seeking a refuge for your soul?
Did you come looking for a prophet or did you come seeking a refuge for your soul?
Did you come looking for a prophet or did you come seeking a refuge for your soul?
Jesus did not start in a stable, his beginning was not when he was lying in a manger.
His beginning was not when Mary gave birth to Jesus.
He is and has always been God.
He is and has always been God.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 He was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
What Gift Will You Bring The King?
What Gift Will You Bring The King?
If we truly wish to give God a gift this year, let’s start by being obedient.
22 But Samuel replied,
“What is more pleasing to the Lord:
your burnt offerings and sacrifices
or your obedience to his voice?
Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice,
and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.
1 Sam
The wise men made a great sacrifice to travel from the East, however they were blessed by their obedience. They had the honor of being some of the very first people to see Jesus. God’s spirit is whispering to all of us right now,
7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Seek The True Christmas Season
Seek The True Christmas Season
Don’t get caught up in the world’s interpretation of the Holiday season, get caught up in the season of Jesus Christ’s physical birth, the true Christmas season. This is a season you can celebrate 365 days a year. During this kind of season, you get a gift every day; a gift of life, a gift of peace, a gift of protection, a gift of direction, a gift of love…
Has everyone put up a Christmas Tree
Whether you did or did not if you’ve got Jesus, you have a light that’s brighter and more powerful than the sun itself.
Forgot about PGE, look at the JC (Jesus Christ) wattage in your home.
That’s the wattage that will bless you, keep you, encourage you, direct you, and ultimately save you.
Seek After The True Light
Seek After The True Light
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
Seek Jesus
Seek Jesus
The cry to God about the things that are not right in your life is not a cry because of condemnation - but a call to come.
28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
What have you brought him today? have you brought him your sin to lay down at his feet?
Your guilt, Shame, disappointment, anger - sin
And are you willing to travel as the wise men traveled to find the savior?
Your Journey is only a few steps.
The wise men traveled for miles seeking the Savior.
Can you imagine only a few steps to Jesus only a few steps to Eternal Life?
30 Then the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying:
Jer.2913
13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
Today What are you Seeking?
Today What are you Seeking?
11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.”
16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger.
17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely known the saying which was told them concerning this Child.
18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds.
