30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Title: What do you do when it’s over?
Merry Christmas!
I know that because Wednesday is Christmas, and especially as we did not official Christmas program this year that it would be expected of me to do some type of Christmas message this morning…
I know that because Wednesday is Christmas, and especially as we did not official Christmas program this year that it would be expected of me to do some type of Christmas message this morning…
Jesus was born some 2000 yrs ago, heralded by angels, honored by wise men and shepherds.
Harod tried to kill him.
His own people rejected him.
But he came for one reason… You and I!
Title: What do you do when it’s over?
Last Sunday morning I awoke with this phrase on my mind; “What do you do when it’s over?”.
I could not stop thinking about that phrase, and as I slowly came awake I realized that It was more than a line to an old song, more than a strange trick our minds play on us…
But that God was directing my thoughts!
It has been no secrete that we have been under spiritual attack...
The heat of the battle in this past year has been some of the most intense that I have ever seen!
I have watched you remain faithful...
True to each other
True to God...
True the me...
Let’s me know that we have passed the test, won the battle, are victorious
For those who do not understand
Church is a spiritual battle that is just as real and intense as any war that has ever been fought - only with ETERNAL CONSEQUENCE!
The story of battle wins and losses is told in the lives of people...
Those who stay, those who come, those who return, those whose lives become transformed by either the Power of God or the Power of Satan.
Two weeks ago something broke...
Last Sunday we celebrated that victory in a Liberty of the Holy Ghost that we have not ever felt!
But the Question I have today is; What do we do now that the battle is over?
The soldier: must needed rest… Why? Because there is peace!
Speaking peace over this church! Unprecedented peace!
The leaders start negotiating the terms of peace!
Terms of Peace will include:
New boundaries
New law
Redefined circumstance - new status quo
Clear the ruble and rebuild
We all need to set up new rules for the enemy!
Old saying: To the victor goes the spoil!
What is the spoil?
Repayment for the battle!
Redraw some boundary lines around your family, job, home, city!
What do you do when the battles over?
What did Jesus do?
Sin had defeated man since the book of Genesis… Death was the proof
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
rev1.18-
Imagine with me for just a moment:
Lucifer had been waging war against God since before man...
Controlling man through fear of death since the fall of man.
He was feeling pretty smug in the death of the prophet Jesus, having no idea who he was.
8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
I can see in my minds eye...
Satan sitting on his thrown - the thrown room door flies open - imps scatter - footsteps boom across the molten floor
Jesus reveals who he is
And takes the keys to death, hell and the grave!
He would then hand him a new contract
Anyone baptized into my name - leave alone
Anyone filled with my spirit - leave alone
Any word they declare in my Name - obey
Any restriction they place on you and your army - honor
What do you do when it’s over?
