Christmas thoughts...

You know as we approach the time of Christmas, there is much I know that we are thankful for...
We are thankful for:
God the father, for life, and all associated with our physical life.( life, provision etc
The Son for coming to be born in a manger… and for his approaching 2nd advent.
The Holy Spirit for never leaving us or forsaking us...
And then we could think about our children, our church, our friends...
What are you thankful for?
This past Wednesday night we looked at this passage..
1 John 4:9 ESV
9 In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him.
Here we looked at the truth that God loved Humanity, and that love was revealed in the fact that He sent Jesus into the world and for the purpose that we might live through Him… three wonderful things we see...
And to build upon that thought I want us to look at the NT book of Titus chapter 2, verses 11-15
Titus 2:11–15 ESV
11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, 13 waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. 15 Declare these things; exhort and rebuke with all authority. Let no one disregard you.
So let me share these few thoughts with you my friends as we approach Christmas....
Paul reminds us here of this.. the grace of God has appeared to us all… Jesus came into the world, his first advent into the world came and we rejoice and celebrate it at Christmas...
Think of this my friends, His love brought to us hope and peace.
