Why Did Jesus Leave Heaven?

He did not come to set up a humanitarian organization
He did not come to bring a set of rules that were impossible to do
He did not come to formally & religiously suck every ounce of fun from life
Many people have said different things about why Jesus came to Earth (even when He was on the Earth), but let’s look at what Jesus Himself said.
John 12:47 NKJV
47 And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
Mark 10:45 NKJV
45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
John 10:10 AMP
10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).

Jesus Came to Destroy the Things the Devil Does

1 John 3:8 NKJV
8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
Jesus :
Stops the Stealing - With Supply & Protection
Kills the Killing - With healing & health, & eternal life
Destroys the Destroying - With Power, Authority, & Restoration
1 Peter 1:3 NKJV
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
2 Peter 1:3 NKJV
3 as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
1 Timothy 4:8 NKJV
8 For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.
Christian, don’t put up with the devil’s stealing killing & destroying for another moment!
For those who may not know Jesus Christ yet, you can invite Him in to fill your life in every area!

Jesus Will be With Us Even in Dark Times

Every one of us has probably seen (or been) a Believer in Jesus Christ that goes through hard things and hard times.
Why Christians Go Through Tough Times:
The Devil is constantly on the attack & doesn’t relent
Sometimes we have to go through dark places when we follow our Shepherd to the good place he is leading us to.
Sometimes we have to go through dark places when we follow our Shepherd to the good place he is leading us to.
Tough times are GOING to happen, BUT goodness and mercy will follow you in those times too if you are following the Good Shepherd.
ps23:1-
Psalm 23:1–6 NKJV
1 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.

Just One Thing:

The best gift of all to have in this season is Jesus & for Him to give you life to the full!

Discussion Questions:

If someone narrated your life, who would you want to be the narrator?
In the illustration of a “full” jar, what was your big take-away?
Please read (esp. in the Amplified translation) & share your thoughts and feelings about Jesus’ stated mission in your life.
What is one way you can communicate with others in a better or more accurate way about the love and mission of Jesus towards their life?
