Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit. Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying:
What Name comes to Mind When you think of Greatness. Maybe if you are a Golfer or enjoy to follow Golf as my Papaw did it would be Arnold Palmer. Maybe its football I think of Joe Montana aswell as many others, Basketball one name shines above the rest Michael Jordan, Politics George Washington or maybe Abraham Lincoln, Or maybe Ronald Reagan. In the field of Science few have done more than Albert Einstein, Maybe literature is more your style perhaps hemming way or Shakespeare
But the Bible says there Is but One name that rest above all others that is the name of Jesus
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,

What do we learn about the Name above every name?
He came to us by the Spirit. This was a miracle on its own
Jesus with a Father not of man but That of God Himself
That Jesus as God would become a mere human Child
One that was placed in the womb of a virgin by the Holy Spirit Himself
No other Man But that Of Jesus Has come from that of The Holy Spirit
This fact of Christmas we dare not overlook. As Jesus was Born of a Virgin From that of God Himself this is important’
First Jesus is the only person to be Qualified to be your Saviour. He had God as His Father Born of a Virgin lived a perfect sinless life to die the perfect death. So that He could be the sanctification for your sins that you may be justified that you might be sanctified that you may also dwell in the house of the lord being Glorified by His perfection
When God sent Jesus he didn't just send anyone. He came in person. The Creator of the Universe came in person to make a way for the Lost
For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost.
“What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.

Jesus Name was Emanuel meaning God is with us
Second everything about the Christian life is initiated by the Holy Spirit. Even the Miracle of Christmas would not had been possible with out Him
You could not be save with out Him, This is what make the trinity of God so miraculous and so wonderful all in one one cane just ponder the endless reasons of why but the fact it always come back to this
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
2. The Name above every name confronts us with our sin
In the 21st century we may be tempter to describe the Christian faith in purely physiological terms. Speaking of our mental health issues depression anxiousness weakness, and using Christianity as a fix all as the magic medication to fix it all.
While there is definitely a physiological issues like these that definitely do exist with in the church and only through Christ can one truly be set free of such conditions.
Our main issue is a sin problem
At the core of every human being is a twisted part of us that tends to do the things that are not pleasing to God. This is our nature we are sinful at the core. Without that of Christ we are enslaved not able to please God in any way, Even our best deeds are but filthy rags before the father.
Jesus came to break those chains to release those captives from their chains
And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
The Greek word for sin here means to miss the mark.
When a archer misses his mark his trajectory of his bow is off course
So is it when we sin against God we are off target.
You cannot fix your sin problem anymore than you can pick up the bathtub you are sitting in
We need a Saviour
We have Sensationalized Christmas, We has marketed Christmas we have sentimentalized Christmas we have secularized Christmas. ]
But Jesus only care to be your Saviour this Christmas. He has come to Set you free. Wont you give Him Praise for the best present that you can ever receive ....................Life.............eternal Life through Him by way of the Cross..............
3.The Name above every name Comforts us with Salvation
The Name of Jesus was not an uncommon name. Its the name Yesheaweh and it means salvation
Dont you see you cannot even say His Name Jesus without saying God is all about Salvation
Our problem is Sin...................... The Solution is Jesus .............
And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
The word To save means to rescue. Its a word that describes a person on trouble. Someone else always rescues the one in trouble
The word Salvation in its greek means to rescue to deliver or to save
WE can say a lot of things about Christmas but as the Church of Jesus Christ.
WE must insist upon this
Jesus Saves And Jesus alone is the Savior
The bible says
For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
It does not say you must know all there is to know in the bible before being saved
The bible does not say you must be white or black Hispanic wealthy or poor born in America born in Jerusalem
It says Whoever calls on the name of the lord Shall be saved
Conclusion
This Christmas only one name can meet our needs the Name above every Name
Jesus
If you know not God if you have not found Him in your Life call upon the King of Kings the Lord of Lords
The one who came to set the captives free
the one who has come to rescue you fro your sin
to deliver you from eternal damnation
Call upon the name of Jesus and be Saved
