What a journey it’s been so far. Now for those of you who have been reading along in your bibles, you’re no doubt seeing that the Old Testament can get pretty bloody. All the sacrifices that begin to be made as the people understand their sin.
Sacrifice = blood. for the wages of sin is death.
Romans 6:23 ESV
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God’s Law

Last week we were looking at the introduction of the Law to the Israelites, and we learned of the 10 Commandments, but there are more laws than that.
And the people respond with:
Exodus 24:3 ESV
Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the rules. And all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the words that the Lord has spoken we will do.”
Immediately following are:
Laws about altars
Laws about slaves, restitution, and expanding upon the 10 Commandments themselves.
Laws about Sabbath and Festivals.
Promises about the conquest of the promised land≥
And the Renewal of the Covenant.
And the people respond with:
Exodus 24:3 ESV
Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the rules. And all the people answered with one voice and said, “All the words that the Lord has spoken we will do.”
Moses is up on the mountain receiving the Law - And Moses was on the Mountain forty days and forty nights.
Moses is up on the mountain receiving the Law - And Moses was on the Mountain forty days and forty nights.
While he’s up there the people get anxious - and they say to Aaron, “Up, make us gods who shall go before us.” - Ex. 32:1
And then we get to the Tabernacle - and I want to focus on that this morning because of what it represents.
