His brothers are urging Him to go to Jerusalem to increase popularity V 3
do some miracles, wow the crowd, get more followers
Everybody will be there, what a great opportunity
V 5 His brothers are unbelievers at this time
WWJD? does he do according to the world or Heaven
Lets look at some ways ..

V 1 Even though The Father had a time table, Jesus stayed out of Judea
Did not give the leaders ample opportunity

He did not do His brothers worldly suggestion

You are on the worlds schedule,
the heavenly time frame, you have no interest in
some times we get impatient wanting closure, success,
Moses was 40 years in the wilderness as a shepherd
David had to go through hiding in the wilderness
the world has its time schedule,
which it influences the church to conform

V 7 I testify that their deeds are evil
The world it belongs to satan
anyone who is not a child of God, is a child of satan
Jesus did not mince words
abortion is not a choice -but murder
Homosexuality is not an alternative life style, its immorality
alcoholism is not a disease, its drunkenness
Jesus is going against their rules
Jesus is not playing church according to public opinion
Because of the truth the world hates Him
From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
Jesus told them that they only followed because of what they were getting out of Him.
there are many Jesus followers in the world today
when He told them the truth about themselves, they hated Him.

How Should We Respond
We need to be wise
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
A double minded man - a person who is divided between God and the world
sitting on the fence, by faith do what God wants, or be practical in the worlds eyes
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.
Wait on God
be in prayer, learn Gods will for your life
don’t be in so much of a hurry to do things for God. that you don’t
Speak the truth
the world needs to hear the truth
even if ..
the truth is the only thing that will set them free
A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.
Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.
if we are followers of Jesus, we need to be like Him
not what we can get out of Him, like the people who ate the loaves and the fishes
