Doing Church is hard, and we are in the middle of a challenging year. Some want us to move faster, some wish we went back to the way things were, some are like I like what we are doing. Offer a vision of our purpose and where we are going.

The Church Exists For...

Us?

- Video of Me Church

God’s Glory

- Great Commandment.... - Our Confidence comes from God. - The Gospel is always a reason to celebrate - Vibrant Church is an attitude towards God, not our circumstances. - Church member said they were amazed at how I worshipped even when Ben was in Treatment. Church member who believed church members did not really want to be there.

God’s Mission

- Story of Tulare Community Church…Trace the Mission of Jesus in Scripture - ?, sending out the 12, sending out the 72, 500 hundred see resurrected Jesus, 3,000 on Pentecost, Jerusalem - Ends of the Earth.
A church passionately Glorifying God in all it does, and a Church pursuing Christ’s mission with compassion and tenacity.

Shifting to Jesus’ Purpose.

Us to Others

- John Messer System’s approach, But we care for each other while we focus on others - Community - Systems of care - small groups, missional communities.

Mission first, Attraction second.

- Growing Young Story from being caring neighbors - John Messer resource delay… - Takes time, shuffling the sheep vs. reaching the unchurched/dechurched. - Jesus’ Ministry in the community, sometimes in the Synagogue - Jesus healed, then became attractive. - Decapolis Story, feeding of the 5,000 and 4,000. - Jesus is our model of the Church. - Conner meeting a kid at Rebounderz

Comfortable to Growth to Multiplication.

- Describe these traits. - Unless a Church grows it will die. We want to thrive so we want to multiply. - Requires generosity, because you may not see your return. - Requires more faith, because you may not see your fruit.
Conclusion: Invitation to be not a consumer, but a contributor to this vision. - Worship, Life Groups, Missional Communities. - Nursery
