INTRODUCTION

WHY? a lot of our life is questioned by those who live it. Life was breathed into Adam. A man formed from the dust of the earth, and God breathed life into him as it says in Genesis and He became a living being. Alive

The question of why comes up a lot in life. When things happen that are out of our control we ask why? Its human nature. When we hope for things to happen that doesn’t happen we ask why? Why not now, why hasn’t my ship come in? Why haven’t I had a break?

We don’t like something about ourselves we ask why? why was I made this way? When tragedy happens and our heart is ripped out we instinctively cry out why?

What does this have anything to do with Christmas? If you tune in and not allow yourself to be distracted for the next 20 min or so I will show you. Have you ever thought “why do we ask why? why do we question things we don’t understand that happen in life? After all if we evovled from a single cell organism and life truly has no meaning at all since this is all by chance plus matter plus time = life and universe, why should be question anything?

The reason obviously is we are creatures created by an all intelligent, all powerful, all knowing God who’s name is the great I’am Yahwe The main problem is we don’t believe this awesome Creator is the essence of every good! He is Love and He works everything together for the Good of those who know Him. We have a lack of Trust in His sovereign plan for us.

Now I am not saying its wrong to question. We are in relationship with our Creator and in any relationship there is communication.

We are gonna see that GOD the most high hasn’t for one milli second forgot you, your pain, your life at all.

SERMON BODY

Lets all read together open your bible to Luke’s gospel chapter 1

luke 1:

Luke 1:26–33 ESV

In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin’s name was Mary. And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.”

Look closely with me at verse 31 and 32

And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David,

The angel says to Mary his Name will be Jesus. Jesus is the greek for of the Hebrew Yashua, in English its pronounced Joshua and it means YAHEW Says or God saves!

Our God is a saving God! He is a loving God! and He is mighty to save, He hasn’t forgotten you.

Now Mary was a virgin promised to be married to Joseph, God send now the angel Gabriel to Joseph the news because he like any man would wonder what is happening when Mary starts showing she is with Child.

Matthew 1:18–24 ESV

Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife,

Matt 1:

The angel Tells Joseph Mary will bear a SON and he will named Jesus again, you will name him YAHEW SAVES! Then tells him this will fulfill the Messianic Prophecy in ISAIAH

In Micha chapter 5 1-6 the messiah was to be born in Bethlehem but Mary and Joseph were from Nazareth.

We see in verse 1-7 God move on a pagan King by the name of Caesar Augustus to issue a degree which then caused Mary and Joseph to leave Nazareth and Go to Bethlehem where Jesus would be born

Mary and Joseph might have been questioning why? Why Mary, is 9 months pregnant, God this isn’t fair,

I know we’ve all seen the Donkey carrying Mary but Mary and Joseph were poor they had to walk

There were prob many other people questioning the census. God moved at the exact perfect time for His plan of the SON of the most High to be born in the exact location as he planned before the world began. God’s plans never ever ever fail.

God Loves so much he will move anything and everything to demonstrate that love

Look with me at the announcement of the Birth of Christ

Luke 2:

Luke 2:8–21 ESV

And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” And they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in a manger. And when they saw it, they made known the saying that had been told them concerning this child. And all who heard it wondered at what the shepherds told them. But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, as it had been told them. And at the end of eight days, when he was circumcised, he was called Jesus, the name given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

Luke 2:8–14 ESV

And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.

now verse 11

Luke 2:11 ESV

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

now verse 14

Luke 2:14 ESV

“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”

Glory to God in the highest! or another way of saying this is Glory to God the MOST HIGH!

now lets recall what the angel told Mary in

Luke 1:32 ESV

He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David,

You see brethren Jesus in HIS name there is a message. He name Jesus means YAHEW saves, GOD the MOST high saves. Jesus is the image of the invisible God, He is the essence and fullness of God in flesh.

Hebrews 1:3 ESV

He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

Glory to God in the Highest! Glory to God the most HIGH! HE is the sovereign one. Christmas is a message for all people. God has an answer for our why question.

God has not only heard the cries of his people, He’s experienced them. GOD the most High took on flesh and was born as a helpless baby dependent on His mothers milk, just as all of us were.

phil 2:

Philippians 2:6–7 ESV

who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.

Though he is God the most high! He emptied himself by taking the form of a servant being born in the likeness of men.

listen to this what a glorious passage

Hebrews 2:14–17 ESV

Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, and deliver all those who through fear of death were subject to lifelong slavery. For surely it is not angels that he helps, but he helps the offspring of Abraham. Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

to make propitiation for the sins of the people. Jesus grew from the manger and was placed on a bloody cross willingly for satisfy the justice of God so that he may cancel the penalty because for those who have placed all their faith in Jesus there sin has been paid for on the cross by the savior the son of the most high!!

Conclusion

What love is this?? God the MOST HIGH to come as a savior for HIS people. As the angels cried out in Glory to God the most high and on earth peace among those whom he is pleased!

The savior has come into time and history! That can never be reversed! it was accomplished. GOD the most high has accomplished the work. His great love and faithfulness has been demonstrated. We now can see as tangible evidence That HE can be trusted. We can believe with complete confidence that OUR Creator is for us. IF the GOD of the most high is for us then who can be against us!!

Jesus said in this world you will have trouble! But take heart I’ve overcome the world. He will never leave you nor forsake you. All that come to him he will never turn away. All that the father has given to him will come to him and he will raise it all up at the last day, the resurrection. HE is our God and we are His people

He hasn’t forgotten you for one nano second. His plans are being accomplished before our eyes. Even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of Death we will fear no evil. Though there may be pain for the night JOY COMES in the morning! This life is fleeting but our reward is kept shielded by the father and in HIS perfect Timing we will all be finished with the race laid out for us.

NOW when we wake up tomorrow morning and the magic is happening remember, YOUR GOD has COME! The SON of the MOST high has made a way and you are saved by his blood forever and now we are at peace.
