Names of Jesus: Dec. 29th

Hope is Born...This month we have been focusing on the names of Jesus:
Jesus-King of Kings-Light of the World-Messiah
Word of God-Truth-Alpha & Omega-True Vine
Now, let’s unwrap the last 4 names:

Prince of Peace

His first coming began this process of restoring peace between us and God; His second coming will bring wholeness as He intended His creation to be when He first set the universe in motion.

Good Shepherd

A good shepherd cares for his sheep.
A good shepherd also knows his sheep.
A good shepherd leads his sheep.
Jesus is our Good Shepherd and He is completely committed to us—caring for us, knowing us, leading us, and laying down His own life for us.

Immanuel (God with us)

Immanuel (God with us)

Jesus’ birth and life physically become a spiritual reality: God wants to be with His people. He created humans with this relationship in mind, breathing His own life into us, creating us in His own image, and placing within us souls so we may commune with Him.

Lamb of God

Lamb of God

The Lamb of God came to fulfill and take the place for our sins. His death on the cross covered all of humankind’s sins once and for all, through faith in Him.
I’ve asked you this question every week, so I ask you one last time for 2019..
Who do we say Jesus is to you?
Is He your Prince of Peace?
Is He your Good Shepherd?
Is He your Immanuel…Is He with you?
Is He the One who has taken away your sins?
What name do you call Him?
Let’s Pray.
