Text: Matt 6:11-13

Matthew 6:11–13 ESV
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Themes:

Week 1 we see that God is glorious and it is all about his will.
Week 2 we see that God is good and giving.
He is our source of: daily needs (phyiscal), daily needs (relationally - forgiveness) and daily spiritual needs (spiritual warfare)

NOTES

Then the next three petitions can be properly focused on the needs of the individual disciples—their sustenance, their sin, and their spiritual battle. (NIVAC)

Daily Sustenance

Matthew 6:11 ESV
Give us this day our daily bread,
Praying for Daily Sustenance
God will provide our daily needs.

Daily Forgiveness

Matthew 6:12 ESV
and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
we continue to sin
His forgivenss of us fuels our forgiveness of others.

Daily Deliverance

Matthew 6:13 ESV
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Praying against spiritual warfare.
