Matthew 28:18–20 NKJV
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Matthew 28:18-20\

1. Jesus said Go.

the light that shines the furthest, shines the brightest at home.
there are some things that we need to get tighter at our house before we go.
we need to get more people involved.
we are not begging wen we put these service opportunity

2.The Vision doesn't Change.

The first thing Jesus said is Go.

Our Goal is to make disciples.

Mark 16:15–18 NKJV
15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

what are disciples?

Disciples are followers of Jesus.

Matthew 28:19 NKJV
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
The First Rule of Biblical Interpretation is what it meant to its original audience, it means to us today.
when he told the disciples to make disciples, they had been disciples for three and a half years.
now, it took them a minute for them to get themselves together, it will take us to get ourselves together. notice I said ourselves, i’m still trying to get myself together.
Life is not on a bell curb, we don't get special treatment. we did what we did. there is nothing we can do to change that now!
Just because we did what we did doesn't mean that God wont take you through a process.
if God puts you through through the process that's what we are here for.
Hebrews 12:4–11 NKJV
4 You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. 5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; 6 For whom the Lord loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.” 7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
I have always thought that the gospel should change our lives.
Mark 5:1–20 NKJV
1 Then they came to the other side of the sea, to the country of the Gadarenes. 2 And when He had come out of the boat, immediately there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, 3 who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no one could bind him, not even with chains, 4 because he had often been bound with shackles and chains. And the chains had been pulled apart by him, and the shackles broken in pieces; neither could anyone tame him. 5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones. 6 When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him. 7 And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.” 8 For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” 9 Then He asked him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.” 10 Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country. 11 Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. 12 So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.” 13 And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea. 14 So those who fed the swine fled, and they told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had happened. 15 Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid. 16 And those who saw it told them how it happened to him who had been demon-possessed, and about the swine. 17 Then they began to plead with Him to depart from their region. 18 And when He got into the boat, he who had been demon-possessed begged Him that he might be with Him. 19 However, Jesus did not permit him, but said to him, “Go home to your friends, and tell them what great things the Lord has done for you, and how He has had compassion on you.” 20 And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled.
we like to talk about being crazy around here and that true, but if God can take a man out of the grave yard, what can he do for us.
if it took the disciples 3 & 1/2 years to become disciples, how much time will it take us.
I wanna thank you for taking the time to come out tonight, Lets do it some more.
Matthew 20:28 NKJV
28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Matthew 1
we need a new building.
I have spent the better part of two years looking and praying, but the bottom line is unless someone gives us a building we need money.
that money is probably not going to from the sky. its going to come from you and I.
one of the ways that we are going to get there is by doing what we can.
almost 10% of what came in last year went to help people get from treatment to halfway houses, keep utilities on, feed people through Wednesday night meals, Holiday meals, Sunday night meals.
we wont be able to help as much this year with benevolence unless things change in the blue bags. ( we are not going to stop, but we must slow down).
we will be doing fundraisers to cut some of the cost of our meal ministries.
I ( and maybe others) are going to be doing preaching during the Sunday night outreaches.

3. Jesus told us to teach them to observe all things.

Matthew 28:20 NKJV
20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Acts 2:42 NKJV
42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
Colossians 1:28–29 NKJV
28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.
this year the leadership is going to pray more.
we need God’s power to do God’s work.
there is no reason that we can’t do the things God called us too.
