John the Baptist sends a couple of his followers out to meet with Jesus to ask a very pointed question: "Are you the one who is to come, or shall we look for another?" Jesus' answers by pointing to what he is doing, because those things prove that He is, indeed, the "one who is to come." He is here for you even today, and when you see what He is up to, you are compelled to go and tell others what you have seen and heard, just as Jesus instructed John's followers to do.
