Isaiah stands before King Ahaz with an offer: "Ask a sign of the Lord your God." Ahaz won't ask it. And as we dig a little, it becomes clear that Ahaz won't ask, because Ahaz doesn't have faith that God will deliver. God delivers anyway. Whether you believe it or not, God is who He says He is, and the forgiveness offered through Jesus is real and is for you. This Christmas season, as you look on the baby Jesus in the Manger, may you see the fulfillment of a promise that gives life to all who believe...even you.
