The god I allow myself to believe in is too small!!!

The god I talk about can’t change things

The god I pray to can’t change my heart

The god I serve only deserves part of my life

The god I serve doesn’t need me in church

The god I serve is ok being second best

The god we talk about has little to do with the God that exists.

We allow God to be everywhere but..... ON HIS THRONE!

The truth is that Praise God this very year, this very month, this very week, this very day, this very hour, this very minute, this very second, God sits on the throne of the universe.

We see this in Deuteronomy 31:3 - 6

King James Version Chapter 31

3 The LORD thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the LORD hath said. 4 And the LORD shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them, whom he destroyed. 5 And the LORD shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you. 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

God is Omnipotent - UNLIMITED POWER

God is Omniscient - ALL KNOWING

God is Omnipresent - EVERYWHERE AT ONCE

God is FREE - NO RESTRAINTS

God is HOLY - INCORRUPTIBLE

Romans 5:18 - 20

King James Version Chapter 5

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon eall men unto justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall zmany be made righteous. 20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. Omnipotent - You can’t tie him down, you can’t knock him out, you can’t hold him back, you can’t cast him away, the world can’t destroy him, keep him down, erase him, hide him. You can crucify him on a cross and he will still save souls while he’s up there. Put him in a tomb and he’ll roll the stone away. If you bury him, he’ll just rise again. You cannot knock my God of his throne cause he has UNLIMITED POWER.

Omniscient - You can’t keep something from him. Whatever your doing, whether it’s good or bad, God is all knowing. Men have a problem.... We do not want to really listen to God...... Expound..... It doesn’t matter, cause God is ALL KNOWING

Omnipresent - You can’t plan a secret meeting without him cause guess what, he’s in the room with you at all time. You can’t choose to sin only when he’s not there, guess what he’s always there. Do the Keys example here

Free - This one hits me hard. Guess what? Not when the world has got me down, but when I my self have let Keith down, disappointment, God stands over me like a father and is Free to love me anyways. No matter what I’ve done God is free to love me anyways. God’s love is bigger than any sin I’ve done, am doing, or might do in the future. Not only is God’s sovereignty sufficient, God’s grace is too.

He is without equal: he is the King of kings and the Lord of lords, without limitation in any way. He is outside of time. He is infinite. He had no beginning and he has no end. He is the ruler of everything.

2. There are no chance happenings. Spoiler alert!!!! You’re neither lucky or unlucky!

To speak of luck or to truly feel you have bad luck, is to strip God of his sovereignty. Going back to the “god we talk about is not the God thats on His throne.”

To come home at the end of the day and say today was the worse day of my life is also to be stripping God of his sovereignty.

When you truly see life this way, all perspectives change.

We all fail to trust in God’s sovereignty. We make him a lesser God than what he is. I make Keith a bigger god than God. Keith can save, I can get satisfaction here, I can hide this there, I can sub a little church for this, I did this instead of studying, I ran out of time to pray, but life is going to be great cause when Keith fails I can give God a little attention and expect him to make everything great.

In our own lives we are cheating God and stripping him of his Sovereignty.

If my fridge stopped working for a day, I’m going to do whatever it takes to fix it.

If my water stopped running, I’m going to fix it.

If my truck stops running, I’m going to fix it.

If direct tv stops working in the storm, I complain and hope that I saved something on DVR

If my cell service is slow, the sky falls apart and I try everything possible to fix it, including throwing my phone at something cause calling ATT is the last thing I want to do

If my wife tells me we have a problem, I react

If my kids disrespect me, there’s an immediate reaction

If someone offends me, there’s a reaction

Should God not get more from us than our water, fridge, trucks, .........

We have a spiritual problem - Not recognizing God’s sovereignty and we’re doing nothing about it.

I make decisions based on Keith’s sovereignty and not Gods.

God wants to have a meeting with you today. You can find him in the throne room, sitting on the big chair waiting to tell you, “I AM THAT I AM”.
