In our first service of 2020, we'll be looking at 2 Peter 3, where the apostle writes about the assurance we have of Jesus' return. Christmas and New Year have come and gone, and the years seem to pass by the same as ever - but it has not always been this way, and nor will it be this way forever. In this season we not only celebrate the incarnation, the coming of God the Son to this Earth, but we also look forward to his return. God is working according to his plan and timing, and so we must be patient even as we eagerly await the completion of the gift of eternal life we have been given by God by his Son, through his Spirit.
