Setup the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.

Setup the ark and cover the ark with the vail.
He did what was right in the sight of the LORD.
Setup the the table.
Bring in the candlestick and light the lamps.
One of the first things that Hezekiah did was reopened the doors of the house of the LORD.
Setup up the altar of incense.
Under King Ahaz (Hezekiah’s father) Ahaz forsook the LORD and made images for Baalim and worshipped them and caused the people to worship them. He burnt incense to Molech and burnt his children in the fire and worshipped this false deity. He sacrificed in the high places, and on the hills and under every green tree.

Setup for worship.

So due to Ahaz being like everyone else around him, trying to fit in with everyone, God made him like everyone else. God allowed Syria and Israel to come against Judah and King Ahaz. King Pekah of Israel slew 120,000 of Judah’s elite soldiers in one day. 200,000 women and sons and daughters were taken captive and brought to Samaria.
God has specific instructions (We must do it God’s way).
(Verse 16) King Ahaz at that time sent unto the kings of Assyria a message to help him. What is so astonishing about this, is that after God chastises Judah, you would think that Ahaz would get the point and repent. You would think Ahaz would turn to the LORD for help but he doesn’t.
The Worship of God took priority over everything.
Faith produced Obedience.

Glory follows Obedience.

After Moses finishes the work (verse 33) the scriptures says “then a cloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle”.
Glory- the greatness of God, the majestic beauty of God. Glory also is an ethical concept that embraces God’s holiness. Kabod- means weight or “importance” thus to have glory is to be weighty or important to oneself or others. God will make you significant in the world.
Glory was often manifested in worship. When Moses setup the tabernacle, he sets up worship for the people of God. In essence if you really want God to show up in your life, worship has to be central.
Shekhinah glory- means dwelling glory which is the presence of God in which He manifested Himself as a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.
The cloud reminds the Israelites that God was in the midst of them.
Latter in scripture, when Solomon builds the temple and prays unto God, the glory cloud rested on the temple.
