Sowing & Reaping Laws

Be generous: Invest in acts of charity.

Charity yields high returns.

2  Don’t hoard your goods; spread them around.

Be a blessing to others. This could be your last night.

3–4  When the clouds are full of water, it rains.

When the wind blows down a tree, it lies where it falls.

Don’t sit there watching the wind. Do your own work.

Don’t stare at the clouds. Get on with your life.

5  Just as you’ll never understand

the mystery of life forming in a pregnant woman,

So you’ll never understand

the mystery at work in all that God does.

6  Go to work in the morning

and stick to it until evening without watching the clock.

You never know from moment to moment

how your work will turn out in the end.

The law of Newton says that what goes up must come down. Like any law when put into practice it activates. (I.E. show Newtons Law in action)
The law of Newton says that what goes up must come down. Like any law when put into practice it activates. (I.E. show Newtons Law in action)
Just like the law of Newton there is a law of sowing and reaping, Look at
2 Corinthians 9:6 NLT
6 Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.
2 Corinthians
In order for these laws to work for your advantage you have to put them into practice. You have to activate them. You have to turn them on. You’ve never seen a farmer not plant his seeds and expect a return and then you’ve never seen a farmer plant his seeds and not work it to get the most yield.
This same method works in your sowing and reaping of economics, relationships, health, service to others, time, etc… If you do not exercise it, it will not work.
So what does it look like to exercise it.
So before we talk about the laws of it, let’s talk about the 3 T’s that we must give or exercise to get a return.
Time - Commitment to something other then your own agenda or selfish ambitions.
Talent - Abilities you have to help someone where they are lacking in.
Tithe - Sharing your economic gains with others who are in need.
So now that we’ve established what we need to exercise we’ll go through the laws to maximize our output.
It is not an act of faith. It is a fundamental law that anyone can practice and if done correctly will yield results.
Luke 7:1–10 NLT
1 When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people, he returned to Capernaum. 2 At that time the highly valued slave of a Roman officer was sick and near death. 3 When the officer heard about Jesus, he sent some respected Jewish elders to ask him to come and heal his slave. 4 So they earnestly begged Jesus to help the man. “If anyone deserves your help, he does,” they said, 5 “for he loves the Jewish people and even built a synagogue for us.” 6 So Jesus went with them. But just before they arrived at the house, the officer sent some friends to say, “Lord, don’t trouble yourself by coming to my home, for I am not worthy of such an honor. 7 I am not even worthy to come and meet you. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed. 8 I know this because I am under the authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, ‘Go,’ and they go, or ‘Come,’ and they come. And if I say to my slaves, ‘Do this,’ they do it.” 9 When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to the crowd that was following him, he said, “I tell you, I haven’t seen faith like this in all Israel!” 10 And when the officer’s friends returned to his house, they found the slave completely healed.
Well Minister whats the point
If practiced with obedience and faith the yields will be overwhelming and the blessings will overtake you.
Luke 5:4–7 NLT
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.” 5 “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” 6 And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! 7 A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking.
Luke 5:4 NLT

Luke 5:4-7
Obey God and leave the results up to him. (Give Testimony about NC. 3-5 mins.)
Live your life with open hands, so that God may bless you freely as you are a blessing to others.
Do you know why the dead sea is dead? Because what flows into it is trapped and has no outlet to pass on the water and allow fresh new water.
Do you know why the dead sea is dead? Because what flows into it is trapped and has no outlet to pass on the water and allow fresh new water.
Question for you, are you living your life with your hands open or are they closed like the dead sea? allowing nothing new to pass on to you as you pass on to others?
Here’s what I know about the many testimonies of my personal life, every time I lived my life with open hands and followed God’s instructions, I was blessed beyond anything I could ever imagine.
”We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” Winston Churchill
2 Corinthians 9:7–11 NLT
7 You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 8 And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. 9 As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.” 10 For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. 11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.
2 Corinthians 9:7-11
Look like God in your giving, when God gives it changes the world forever.
John 3:16 NLT
16 “For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
I close with this last verses and thoughts:
Malachi 3:10–11 NLT
10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test! 11 Your crops will be abundant, for I will guard them from insects and disease. Your grapes will not fall from the vine before they are ripe,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.
Malachi 3:10 NLT
10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!
Malachi 3:16–18 NLT
16 Then those who feared the Lord spoke with each other, and the Lord listened to what they said. In his presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared him and always thought about the honor of his name. 17 “They will be my people,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. “On the day when I act in judgment, they will be my own special treasure. I will spare them as a father spares an obedient child. 18 Then you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.”
Malachi
Will you make a conscious choice to be God’s obedient people? Well Minister I’m still not sure of this, my faith ain’t there yet. That’s ok test Him. He said test Him. I told you the testimony earlier and how I tested Him, that was my first real leap of faith, gave up my whole check because He told me too! That sounds crazy don’t it? But I was like either this is real or it ain’t. So let’s try it and see. I triple dog dear you to test him and see if it comes back void.

Let’s pray.
