To Fulfill All Righteousness

Jesus comes to the Jordan to John to be baptized. Jesus. And our brains skid to a stop. Why would Jesus do that? He is not in need of forgiveness. Has no sins of which to repent. Needs no spiritual washing. But he tells John it is fitting to do so to "fulfill all righteousness." Today we examine Jesus' baptism and consider what it means for each of us, and how our own baptism connects us to Jesus' perfect life, his atoning death, and his triumphant resurrection.
