We glorify God:

Protecting your children - “And our little ones shall live in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land.”
Those that do not have children, your call is still to do the best you can to help support these children (and parents if applicable) as best you can - “do not oppress....the orphan...”

When we begin to stray, it will most often be because we are attempting to work with our flesh.
