When Life Gives You Lemons:

You’re probably familiar with & can complete the phrase - “When Life Gives you Lemons...”
(Image)
Hey - Free Lemons *(Image)
“When life gives you lemons, you try to make lemonade, but the EBT ran out...so what do you do, you have lemons and water.”-Joshua Kaina
Do you actually like drinking Lemons & water, or do you prefer lemonade?
If you don’t have any sugar, how are you going to get some?
Acts 2:44–45 NKJV
44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
What we should really do is go and borrow some sugar from our neighbor so we can make proper lemonade with our lemons.
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 NKJV
9 Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.

We Need Friends:

There are a ton of tutorials on YouTube about how to make friends
Making new friends seems to be a “lost art.”
I feel pretty old school now - I grew up in a time (really not THAT long ago) when friends, rocks, sticks, mud & imagination were nearly all we had to create fun with.
Today, too many people are a part of the Anti-social, Social Club (Image)
We are surrounded by people, but we don’t have any friends!
We need friends, not Just a crowd!
Proverbs 18:24 NKJV
24 A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 NKJV
9 Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, For he has no one to help him up.
We need friends, not just a crowd!
John 6:67 AMP
67 Jesus said to the Twelve, Will you also go away? [And do you too desire to leave Me?]
John
One of the things that breaks my heart the most is to see people being kind to one another, but then walking alone through life.
Or sitting alone in church, or on a Friday/Saturday night if they don’t want to be alone.

How to Make Friends:

Smile
just seeing these smiles made most of you smile
Smiling makes you feel good by releasing endorphins into your brain
2. Give a Polite Introduction
a Polite Introduction
Like your name and a handshake.

3. Ask if they wanna be your friend
(Image)
is a great tutorial on how to be a good friend
Practically: friendship looks like doing what each other likes to do & preferring one another
Romans 12:10 NKJV
10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;

The Blessing of the “Body”:

The Body of Christ is not meant to be a body just out of necessity, but out of affinity
ephesians 4.1
John 13:35 NKJV
35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
What do we have when we are all alone?
We only have the resources we have - but what if we are completely depleted???
Ephesians 4:15–16 NKJV
15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ—16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.
Acts 2:44–45 NKJV
44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.

• When you are feeling weak, you can borrow strength from others around you.

Hebrews 12:12 NKJV
12 Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees,

• If you feel like your faith is failing, others will believe in you and can pray for you

Luke 22:31–32 NKJV
31 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”

• If you’re ever feeling down, you can draw from other people’s joy!

2 Corinthians 1:24 ASV 1901
24 Not that we have lordship over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for in faith ye stand fast.

Just One Thing:

• Don’t walk this Christian life alone, or allow others around you to walk alone
• If you need to, go borrow some sugar from a friend and make some amazing lemonade!
