Hope - Our Starting Point
2 Thessalonians 2:16 NIV
May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope,

so encouraging one another is grounded in our hope in Christ
and has positive outcomes in our daily walk - both for the giver and the receiver

encouragement is a gift of the Spirit
we are a body of believers that declares the Spirit is here in our midst
that the Spirit is our true freedom
this freedom is connected to the eternal hope we have in Jesus

we are called into hope - the hope of God
God’s Kingdom is a kingdom of hope
Jesus Christ died to enable the gospel of hope
hope does not disaapoint
hope does not put us to shame
there is nothing negative about hope
Hope gives Boldness
2 Corinthians 3:12 NIV
Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold.

boldness in the things of God
not a false boldness of human matters
a boldness that comes from truth and from strength
a boldness that comes from really knowing Jesus and the work of the Spirit
The Gifts in Romans
Romans 12:6–8 NIV
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
