History of Gallic People:

Gallic people lived a Celtic culture from 280BC - 400 AD
Celtic people were known as rowdy warriors with great skill in craftsmanship.

• Only warfare, craftsmanship, and spirituality were considered worthy ways of advancement in society.
• So Warriors, smiths, poets, priests, craftsmen, and brewers were respected in society.
• They put a huge importance on ritualistic spirituality, honor, personal glory, and pleasure.

Galatians 5:19–21 NKJV
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Gallic people in Galatia adopted a Greek culture by 189BC
However the Gallic people kept their language, ethnic identity, war style, and mindset (they didn’t really adopt the philosophy mindset and kept to their wild nature with ritualistic spirituality.
• Dressed Greek, built Greek cities,
However they did so many things Greek like too that the Romans by 189BC called them Greco-Galatians

About the Book of Galatians

Author: Paul

Not much to debate on this.

Date:

It depends if you think Paul is writing to North or south Galatia.
There is more evidence for south.
North evidence is largely based off his illness.
South evidence:

(1) There is no mention of Paul’s traveling companions by name but Barnabas is mentioned three times (cf. 2:1, 9, 13). This fits the first missionary journey of Paul.

(2) It is mentioned that Titus was not circumcised (cf. 2:1–5). This fits best before the Jerusalem Council of Acts 15.

(3) The mention of Peter (cf. 2:11–14) and the problem of fellowship with Gentiles fits best before the Jerusalem Council.

(4) When the money was taken to Jerusalem several companions of Paul from different areas (cf. Acts 20:4) were listed. None, however, were listed from northern Galatia cities, although we know these ethnic Galatian churches participated (cf. 1 Cor. 16:1).

If South this means Paul started church during his 1st missionary journey (44AD) in
wrote the book before the Jersualem Counsel in .. .
and in wrote the book around 48BC before the Jersualem Counsel in .. .
So maybe he wrote the book during the events read in around 48AD and before Jerusalem counsel in
