Title - Is Anything Too Hard for the LORD?

Genesis 18:13–14 NKJV

13 And the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’ 14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”

Background

God visited Abraham in Mamre to reiterate His promise to give Hima child by next year.

Abraham received The Lord and the 2 angels with Him.

When God reiterated His promise to Abraham, Sarah heard it from behind the tent and laughed.

Abraham and Sarah’s situation is a good illustration of the Bride’s condition as she gets ready for her final revival.

they were waiting for the promised child, Isaac.

the Bride is waiting for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Questions

why did God chose this time in their life to bring the promises to fulfillment?

Abraham was now 99 years old

Sarah was 80 years old and past the age of childbearing

Sermon Points

Abraham’s faith has grown and strengthened over the years.

He followed God’s voice to Canaan

He separated his life from the world.

he went out of his father’s house

he separated from Lot his nephew

he chose to live outside of the cities in Canaan

He learned to trust God in his livelihood

he separated with Lot

he fought to save Lot

he refused to receive reward from the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah

He grew in his knowlege of God

Abraham believed God

Genesis 15:6 NKJV

6 And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

Abraham’s fait was strengthened

Romans 5:16–21 NKJV

16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) 18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. 20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. He believed in God who gives life to the dead and calls non-existing things as though they did

he believed in hope, against hope

he was not weak in faith

he did not waver at the promise of God

he was fully convinced

God prepares Abraham and sarah for His ultimate work in their lives.

With Abraham at right condition in faith, God was ready to do the final works.

God changed their names

Genesis 17.5 - Abram (exalted father) to Abraham (father of multitudes)

Genesis 17.15-16 - Sarai (my princess) to Sarah (princess)

NAME CHANGE MEANS A CHANGE OF PERSONAL IDENTITY

God had Abraham circumcised - at 99!

CIRCUMCISION MEANS SEPARATION OF THE FLESH

Colossians 2.11

Philippians 3.3

God determines the birth of the child - Genesis 17.18-19; Genesis 17.21

the name is Isaac

the birth is next year!

LIKEWISE, THE UTTERANCE OF THE 7 THUNDERS WILL GIVE THE EXACT REVELATION OF CHRIST’S COMING FOR THE CHURCH!

God visited Sarah - Genesis 21.1-2

For sarah, the ultimate hurdles were: Gensis 18.11-12

she was barren

she was past the age of childbearing

she has no more pleasure - desire - for sex

BODY CHANGE - RESTORES THE STRENGTH AND THE PLEASURE

Sarah rejoices in the promise fulfilled!

Genesis 21:6–7 NKJV

6 And Sarah said, “God has made me laugh, and all who hear will laugh with me.” 7 She also said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age.”

Isaac means laughter

Sarah laughed at the promise of God before Isaac was born.

Now, Sarah laughs for the miraculous work of God!

LIKEWISE, THE BRIDE WILL HAVE HER ISAAC - HER LAUGHTER, HER REVIVAL - WHEN THE MIRACULOUS WORK OF GOD IS FULFILLED IN HER LIFE!

Conclusion

Your faith will have a significant role in the Bride’s revival.

God cannot work without faith.
