We are in 1st Corinthians chapter 4 and where we've actually come to in this letter that the Apostle Paul is riding is a place in which he's wrapping up his first argument. He said it in four chapters were seen in four months. So I'd say we made some good progress. What do you think redeemers? Yeah, we're doing we're doing all right. And so the argument that he's wrapping up for this church is that they are in some serious Division and they have problems in allying themselves within the church for certain leader speakers. Are you can bring it. Bring it down to a small level and even say community group leaders and said was so and so says this and so-and-so says that in this is who we following this is who we appeal to and Paul says is Christ divided should the body be broken and fractured this way and so he's finally finally wrapping up this argument and he's doing it in an incredibly loving caring and fatherly way. What he's going to say here this morning is incredibly pertinent to each and everyone of us and one of the points that Paul is going to let sit deep within us is pastoring Christian leadership. It's a lot like fathering listen to this as we rehear. It says I do not write Universe 14 these things to you to make you ashamed but to admonish you as my beloved children for though you have countless guides in Christ. You do not have many fathers. I became your father and Christ Jesus Through The Gospel. I heard you then the imitators of me. That's why I sent you Timothy my beloved and faithful child in the Lord to remind you of my ways and Christ. Are they teach them everywhere and every Church summer arrogant as though I were not coming to you, but I will come to you soon from Lord Wills. I will find out if a talk of these arrogant, but they're For the kingdom of God does not consistent talk but in power, what do you where should I come to you with a rod or with love in the spirit and gentleness this morning? I want a picture of some of the parallels of even what Paul is talking about in just to kind of related back to my experience as a father in my own household. Absolutely. Love my children. I love caring for them. I love making memories with them. I love spending time with them. But any parents was worth their salt at being a parent would say parenting is not always easy is it? I mean if we're pretty blunt and fairly honest about it are kids even from like the moment they come out as precious as they are. They're already doing things that hinder our life a little bit right not letting a sleep crying at inappropriate times and then they grow into these little self wills and they say things like no and you say things like, excuse me, where did. Even come from and really they're just imitating you to be honest, but but here's the deal parenting has these huge ups and downs in his you're watching your children and my children are growing older you're seeing the make good decisions and sometimes incredibly foolish decisions. I love them. It's a lot of work. It's a constant job. And I also know being a father is going to be a lifelong job. I meet with a lot of guys there in about their mid-50s and they've seen their last kid leave the house and then I'm still bothering I still got them coming in and out of the revolving-door. They still come in and open the fridge and take whatever they want for them and their friends. I mean, this is still happening in my life and Eva Dad I know for myself and probably for the majority of you at least I would hope is what do you want for your children? You want them to mature you want them to grow you want them to be wise you want to show them love and Paul is making this distinction here this morning. Paul has just been a little hard on this church in efforts to see correction come about and he's using this family type language and he's saying this is what this looks like to Pastor you to Pastor. Well what it should look like it should be done and efforts of love. The other needs to also be at time Eastern if there needs to be hard and correct. And we need to be okay with that just like any father would do in their own families. Problem is in the church. I won't have to do this kind of stuff and we're not doing this today. I'm just building up foundation. So when it does have to happen, we're all cool with it. All right, that's good news for us today. But what he saying here is sometimes at least in my family. I'm my youngest daughter. She's three. She only sees her own needs and she can be the loudest and cry the loudest for the biggest fits to get whatever she thinks that she needs in the family should do for her as her parents. We have to consider everybody else's needs in the family and people make in my family unreasonable demands in church families. People can make unreasonable demands. Our issues are crisis our problems. They can be the biggest things without realizing there's a body that's all around them. So what I want us to see you this morning is this analogy that Paul gives to us and I want to be careful here to Pastor feels like A father I'm not saying that you called me Father Brett. If you do that, I will run to the hills. I will cringe I mean, I will barely let you call me Castor Branch. Jesus said in Matthew 23, Jesus said don't call anybody father but God the Father ultimately he is bad. He is your highest Authority. The ultimate Allegiance is to him pause already told them in 1st Corinthians chapter one verse three that they have a father who is in heaven, but he says, to be a Christian leader attorneys is going to feel much like being a father you're a counselor. You're instructing your admonishing you're directing and we're doing is not only on a large scale for the entire church that doubters here as we set Direction and sent Vision, but also on a smaller scale as we spend time with one another speaking into your lives. It doesn't mean that ultimately I am the father but I sure do a lot of fathering and what does that entail? Let me just break it down with my son Benjamin on Friday. My wife and I decided it was time for Benny to get big boy haircuts. He's been getting mommy haircuts for almost seven years and he loves Mommy haircuts gets a lollipop at home in the house. But I thought you know what it's time for this kid to get out sit in the chair start learning what this looks like and feels like so we can walk down to the barbershop. He's on his scooter there and we get in there any person he does. Is he sits and waits his term Daddy. Why do we have to wait while son there's people in front of us? There's other people that need to go ahead of us. It's not like that at home cuz you're the center of the universe kid question on pain man. He gets up and he sits in the chair and the barber shirts to talk to him and he kind of gives me these looks like it's okay son. You can talk back to your barber. In fact, we want you to establish this relationship and friendship opportunity to make connection and relationship. So I'm trying to help him talk and then I go get in the chair next to him and I finish up he finishes up first and then come over here son, and I had them the money I sent you need you need to pay and when they tried to give him back change I said, no you tell them you tell me why daddy that's all we want to be generous as Chichi that's part of even on the church level what God has commissioned leadership to do for Redeemer. Do you want to instruct through the word of God in order? His body is built up and healthy. So we have a high view of Christ. The high view of who God is that we understand who we are in light of that that we actually firmly grasp the gospel and then we know how it plays out in our lives. Not only that but as a father. My favorite thing to do, but I have to discipline. Kids don't walk on water. I promise. Spend an afternoon in our household. No discipline is different than punishment for discipline seeks out correction and the benefit of the child or the person at the end of the day ultimate league normally typically because of our human instinct tents to lean towards retaliation. You did this to me not going to make it tenfold worse for you. You interrupted my day. I'm going to bring a horseshoe judgment a harsher punishment on you and discipline is for correction is ultimately for the child or the person being disciplined Pandora to become healthy mature and operating within a body a household functioning in that way. And as a father have lots of hopes that my kids will grow up and walk and serve and Let Jesus and be responsible and know how to handle themselves that they would seek and love. And understand what that looks like in their lives. And so Paul says here I am like a father to you. Why because I brought the gospel to you. And in that I saw this new birth is regeneration happen and because of that we want you to operate in a healthy sort of way that glorifies God talks feels responsible to this group of people for their spirituality. This is the same kind of weight and heaviness each and every week that I get when I walk up here on my wife is done with the babies today. She's always like why are your fingertips always so cold? There's no blood flow 15 minutes before preaching because I just sent the weight of what God does because I want to properly and rightly divide the word of Truth in order to instruct our body that we can grow and maturation and operate and function as a healthy body in the community of Redmond for the flourishing of our community outside of here. Not just inside of here. It's bigger than just what God is doing in here, but what he wants to do throughout Redmond because of what's going on in here in order to glorify God. We want to cultivate a culture that permeates the gospel and people have a deep understanding of what it means to follow Jesus and Paul looks at Corinth and he absolutely sick over what they're going through. He's broken. And he needs to step in and correct what's going on in their lives? Because if they continue down the path, they're going down. It's going to cause further destruction. So he's like a father because he's like a father there's this issue of raising people just like that issue of raising kids this issue of raising people in the church. Looks like Christian discipleship and Christian discipleship is not the responsibility of one saw a person in the church because it takes a community of followers of Jesus to disciple a person trust me on that. I teach your community pouring in with their different giftings and skill sets in order to benefit the entire body what this means is that if somebody comes in here and they don't know Jesus they want to grow in Jesus responsibility studies and get you around people that know and love Jesus and that use wisdom when it comes to how they handle family and finance and marriage and children and all the other job and Division and prompt. We want to get people around you to help you grow and learn how to walk out your Christian faith and his work going through. 1st Corinthians City of Vision and direction for our church here at redeemers. It's pointing out the deficiencies that we have as a church and it's causing her leadership to go. How do we enact in order to facilitate the ministry that needs to take place at this church and Beyond will there be through classes and bible studies small-group discussions connect to people with one-on-one mentorship that is the role that God has placed to send to work and serving as leading guiding over this church What does mean this when you come in here as a follower of Jesus just as we have a responsibility to you. You have a responsibility to one another. She want to look around this church and go I want to get in on that. I want to help disciple. I want to find ways to use my gift teens and talents to benefit others as they grow up in the faith. And they do the exact same thing. I want to find ways to serve the younger kids here. I want to find ways to administer and use the gifts that God has given me because it takes a church to disciple a Christian. It truly does now in this aspect of training is a lot of the positive side teaching classes one-on-one and mentorship formulating deeper relationship with one another but Paul here is also talking about I have to admonish you I have to warn you. I have to correct you in training people getting direction correction is often needed at for Corinth. They got off course. I don't know about you. Correction is as bad as a curse word. You come to me with a rod of Correction, and I'm kind of like yeah, but what about you? Am I your problems? And I can but I'm not sick and head colds think fairly quickly on my feet or I can get a little bit defensive and put up the guard do that. We should justify if we do see it even what we are doing and we move into defense mode or we just kind of want to throw in the towel like, oh my goodness. You're going to correct me and we're just like I want to give up. I want to be John. We don't like the c word whatsoever. It's almost been banished from society that you would have any right to step into somebody's life and bring about some sort of Correction. Are you can maybe even laugh or kind of go when I say that but think about it. Are you allowed to offend people today? Are you allowed to speak truth often the answer to that is no No ends Rex and Bruins all sorts of things with friendships and family and life guitar here. He says I am going to correct you because there's issues and problems in the church and what he's getting at is in its first Timothy or 2nd Timothy. He says there is a way to act in the household of faith dear Christian. I'm going to get into this and what it means to be a Christian and according to like our soteriology and what God has done for us, but I also want us to hear this other side that there is a way to live a Godly life. Are things that we should as Christians strive for and how we should grow and how we should respond to warnings and admonishments on the first thing as yours. I do not write this to make you ashamed. shames horrible Sheamus horrible shame is what we see you after we've done something wrong. Shame is an identity guilt since human skin, whether an action that we should have done and didn't do or an action that we shouldn't have done and we did two and a bring guilt upon us and we understand and we get guilt in here deep Sinking Feeling. I've seen it in the courtrooms. We seem guilty children before us and when there's guilt is often some type of punishment or discipline that follows after it. But what follows after that is a shame for the thing that we've done. I would venture to say most Christians. 4 followers of Jesus still struggle with guilt because I understand Jesus Paid It all but we struggle is shame because Shane wants to change the identity from Sons and Daughters do whatever it is that we did and Paul says here. I'm not here to shame you. I'm not here to make you ashamed therefore in correction, whether it be a pastor community group leader a friend that has a 40 to speak into your life comes along side of you. What are the reasons why we get a little bit hold back as we spent the shame if there was something done wrong and we feel that washing over a Impala say no. I don't want you to feel that because he says your identity is something very different than the sin that has been committed. Your identity should not be a divided church because Christ has United you so what Paul is having to get at is their core identity of who they are. We live out of our core identity. We truly do and Paul is reminding them of who they are in Jesus. He says you are children. I'm coming to you as a father. I want to encourage you to remind them of Christ and that this correction is necessary. Now the question is if something is wrong in our life. If we're constantly acting in a way we shouldn't. bog down by sin I feel living out and identity of Shame. Why should we even change? as a Christian your core identity is not who you used to be but it's who you are now in Christ and his understanding what that actually means and how that practically plays out in our life. And that's what Paul is hitting out here and sometimes sometimes we need to be reminded of who we actually are now in Christ because the enemy wants to constantly remind you who you were before Christ and to live that out. Who are you now in Christ? It's just like even with your children if you have children in a certain way and you're like Anderson's don't act that way, right? Obviously, we do apparently Eva we shouldn't do that. Let me remind you of who we are in Christ when we send when we are tempted to sin. It's because we have this thing dangling out before us and we think oh, yeah that used to make me feel this way. I want to participate in that again and we got to be reminded of who we actually are in Christ and what that identity is. So in love Paul is coming back and say this is who you are dear Christian. This is who you are. If you responded to the gospel, you are loved you are his beloved you are fearfully and wonderfully made that when we begin to understand that you are created in the image of God, then you have to look at your knee. Neighbor who is those same things created in the image of God. I don't know if they're Christian or not. We look at them as God's creation and say I can't treat you.

Tennessee weather is treating you before cuz I was treating you harshly without harming and hurting you when I'm taking Jabs at you. That's me operating and acting in the flash. That's me carrying you Dennis me acting selfish and ordered my life to love and care for you in a different way. And when I get back to core identity of who I am. We are Sons and Daughters of Christ. What you need to be reminded up over and over again that is an idea preaching the gospel to yourself. This is actually who you are. And Paul says here are these mornings because I want you to flourish as a Christian Community. Are These Warnings? So I want to see you glorifying God and all that you do. So this is a general question and Christianity. Does Behavior matter for Christian?

I mean we might have to draw a line down here and just split sides and divide the church today answer that question has Behavior matter as a Christian will let me walk through this if you heard the phrase context is King. Context is take and so let me walk through what I mean by that behavior is not a pre-qualification for salvation behavior is not an effort to maintain salvation to become a Christian is not to become good. Say that again to become a Christian is not to become a good becoming good is a result of following after Christ. It's not the essence of being a Christian when you become a Christian you are Justified. It doesn't mean you suddenly stop doing things that are bad. It means you're no longer viewed in the same way means your sins think that you've done wrong can no longer bring you into condemnation. It means you're accepted and your righteous in the sight of God. What does it mean to be a Christian? You are an honored failure?

a righteous sinner a Justified sinner That's what he saying. Honored Center. How do I know that Paul says Romans 4:5 noted him who does not work, but trust in him who justifies the ungodly to him. It is credited as righteousness. It's Justified the ungodly and it's credited him righteousness. It doesn't say clean yourself up. If you can't work on your heart while you love and professed Jesus and you'll get to a certain State and God will justify. You know, he doesn't say that he says trust trust in the one that is God who justifies the ungodly. It's the most important thing that you share today. You are a righteous Center. So you are you are an honored failure this morning and these two things keep us humble. It's really cool. But also knowledge of being accepted love and the part of what God is doing no matter no. For salvation, but but we've got the whole new testament to the Church of saying this is what our lives should look like as followers of Jesus. We move away from soteriology what it means to be a follower of Jesus. Yes and honored absolutely. That's who we are. We got this unearned undeserved free gift of God, but he says this is what it looks like to walk in the things of Christ. Orange to break it down doing good will not earn you favor, but there's a way in which God created the world and when we go with the grain of the flow of the way in which God created it brings about human flourishing.

Didn't bring about Prosperity doesn't mean health and wealth. It doesn't mean any sort of Twisted Disturbed the gospels that are not gospel at all. But there's a way in which one we walk in the things of Christ in the flow in the Grain in which God created involved into the fabric of the world. It is a piece and a Shalom even in the midst of chaos out there that God brings about and there's flourishing in our lives. Does it mean to get what you want? But God does care for you think of it like this whenever I'm dishonest.

Whenever I'm not telling the whole truth whenever I hurt somebody with my words, whatever I say my way not your way gone. I'll tell you one thing and always does it bring an added amount of stress in my life personally? Then I can actually remember what I told the person before I wasn't honest. That's not an answer to tell them that are call me out on it and I'm freaking out and stressing out over it. I'm speaking honestly from personal experience because I failed at times in that area in my life Secrets keeping keeping Behavior below the surface that is bring about destruction really cause us to fret too stressed to live in our heads to not be free and has a way of holding us down, but also convincing it benefits us. To think about that didn't have two way of holding us down. But it also convinces us. Benefiting us. It wasn't benefiting us. We wouldn't participate in it. It wasn't benefiting us. We come clean. It wasn't benefiting Us in some way. It would be able to express where we were wrong. And where we failed with the sin of the way of Holiness down only Berry at the NC eat away at our souls. If you walk with the Lord for sometime you probably know of a man named David. He was the sting on a heart after the Lord has failed epically and there's the song that he right and he says my bones were melting away within me. They were eating at me and he's ever done something wrong or harm. Somebody you've kept it hidden kept it secret maybe you could spirit that same kind of guilt that eats away at you kid, even in his to direct your life and it's a party. Why am I still holding on to this? Was obviously doing something for you that confessing wouldn't do otherwise you wouldn't it's convincing you that have benefits you but it holds us down and got the look. There's nothing you can uncover that. I haven't already covered don't continue to walk in this. Repent a faithful to forgive. I welcome you to come in to remind you of your love. What you're doing is destroy your relationships friendships and life around you and look at, we have a church here. They're celebrating their wisdom their knowledge their privileges to superiority in a little bit. We're going to see them want the sexuality that not even the pagans would engage in. They're at odds with one another. They have some problems inside. They're going to court with one another to show preference and Paul goes because it still football season. Come on, man. Yeah, I was your man and you just doing what is going on.

And there's disgrace that God has given us that's frees us from participating in these mindsets have been enslaved and entrapped in. Grace sets us free. It isn't just simply stop the problem that we have door actually freaking out love God have her entire appetites for what was once for the things of this world in the satisfying of her own desire red talking depth of this next week. I think it's going to be phenomenal. But it sets us free and it gives us a taste for the things of God and I want to show you and I'm going to pick up some low-hanging fruit here this morning of how this can happen in our lives. I don't understand a single person in here who wouldn't agree with me that at some level pornography is destructive. attractive to women it teaches men. It's okay to view women as sexual objects for their own personal gratification. It's destructive two men value women say this is their purpose and this is why they exist and you should have whatever you want whatever you want it and whatever way you want to get it. It's destructive two young women at the teachers in that there's some type of body image to obtain to be desired by what will someday be their future husband that they have to live up to and obtain to the price family to destroy marriages. It destroys us personally and what you don't have is God sitting up there going. I don't want you to have any sexual gratification. He's going to you as a guest. The beautiful thing I made happen, I wasn't shocked but when human desires go left unchecked we see the perversion that they bring in that they can sit in wreck and ruin all facets of Life. There is not human flourishing where there's more strip clubs. I can tell you that there's more Grayson is more hatred Is more personal issues or problems? It's not benefiting Human Society from the gods. I don't want you to enjoy but I have a way in which this is to enjoy anger. Is anger a good or bad emotion. I am stopping at I can get your question. It's not a bad notion. Jesus got angry indie. I mean, I want the clip when he walks into the temple and he makes the whips and he's driving them out. I want the clipse when he's enraged and how the outcasts and wiser be treated by those me sitting at dinner tables with me. I can't wait if that's even accessible though. Probably not of what that would look like. Jesus got angry. We should be angry over the things that God is angry about anger is not a bad emotion whatsoever. But the kind of anger that deserves our demands pardon made man retaliation Revenge It destroys the kind of anger that is abusive and disrupt the natural flow of a family life should be like that Rex and ruin and it harms our kids. Have you ever been guilty of speaking harst your children speaking the truth in a harshness will wreck and ruin them speaking the truth in love. Not that you can't correct and bring about right action is definitely okay, but you can't be angry over in justices that you certainly can but the kind of anger that is volatile. I spilled over onto everybody around us to help your relationships are hurt them. Certainly aren't them. It's certainly hurts them. Is a Christian you can say but it's all forgiven Brett. I totally agree every day for that. I totally do it's covered but you persist in it to continue in it policy. You need to stop why you're no longer a slave to your sinful habits. He who the son has set free is free indeed appetite. Your palette have been changed to no desire that which is good that we hunger and thirst after righteousness rather than when were angry. For example, why do we get angry? I think it gives us a sense of control. I can exert my power and I can intimidate you. Guess what I get at the end of the day, whatever I want. That's how I use my anger same thing with sexuality pornography if I can not have access in that way. However, whenever I want I don't actually need another human being for intimacy their articles and studies about this going on as an epidemic all over the world right now is a decrease in marriage because of these things that are actually happening and Paula saying you need supremely treasure Christ above all other thing and he has set you free to do that. If you don't if you don't you'll be walking in destructive patterns of behaviors that are going to break u r a q or rowing you. What does Jesus do you have to look at life an entirely different way?

Other than choosing explosive anger and any moment Jesus could have showed explosive anger anger when he was on the cross and get us down from here. If you're really who you say you are called on your angels. He certainly could have but like we saw a few weeks ago. What did you do today about that power? Gave it up a guide resurrected. Yes, it's Redemptive. Absolutely, but it's empowering and it does not go and live because I changed your heart. I'm reordering how you think free ordering free wiring who you are as a person do we choose to do the sinful things? Cuz they somehow benefit us and use the saying I want you to be completely out early towards others and I want to challenge the framework in which we think this morning. I don't want to insert want to give me the looks like to look at these things after the cross.

When I'm angry if I think about the cross, I can't be angry anymore. can't I get angry because you wronged me and what do I want back? I want at least harm you a little bit to make sure you know, how much you hurt me make life a little harder for you. So I feel there's been some sense of justice. But after the cross justice has been taken care of and it doesn't allow me or tell me to be to be a passive person to get walked all over now. That's not what the scripture say, but it doesn't tell me to look at my situation and his anger is not right because Jesus what you have done I can walk and live in a totally different way, but I need to be foolish what you've been given I want you to be wise. I want you to see life after the cross Sao Paulo saying here. I'm like a father and I want you to see this and we're not finished with this last thought he says imitate me. This morning when I was kind of looking over all this you brought me back to 91 and there's a Gatorade commercial that came out and they have the glass bottle Gatorade if you guys remember that and there's a I want to be like Mike commercial. I love I love those commercial. We all wanted to be like Mike and it had like the good night for my that was laughing at people that might that was helping children. It didn't have the bad gambling Mike. It didn't have the bike that was going through all sorts of troubles that we've read about later on and there's this idea like imitate our life after someone because they have the good life and Paul look at this church, and he says, I want you to imitate me. I want you to imitate me what you do look at me. I want you to see I've lived my life before you and you already gave the list of what that looks like. He goes where the scum-of-the-earth the refuse of all things.

Life can be difficult painful and hard look at what we walked through don't expect this expect that over there. But he says look at how I've conducted my life among you go after that. Why did you say that cuz he's perfect. No, there's not a church leader in the face of the planet. That should say. I'm perfect. Perfectly forgiven. Hopefully he repented when things are to him look at how I lived my life now thought out Y'all didn't have good Fathers and some of you did regardless. There's one thing we typically say when I grow up. I don't want to be like my we've got this idea built into us they were going to rebell against Authority and we live in the Pacific Northwest which is just trying for rebelling. We love to Rebelle. We love to be difference. We have this in our head and in our mindset that this Independence I so important to us. We don't want to be like our fathers. There's this assumption that once you hit your teens. But you just going to rebell against Authority in a rage against the machine's going to be whatever it is and I'm going to go against everything particularly parental Authority got like a rite of passage in our culture. We call it adolescence the Bible knows nothing of it. A father was to be supremely Exempla Tory to his children to be somebody who loves God and instructs them in the things of God serves and that he's after the heart of his children. And Paul is talking to his church. I love you guys. gamers I love you guys. I love you guys. That's why we talked about this often wear around one another we care for one another we make time for each other and my heart is always for the flourishing of the community here at redeemers pause heart is the exact same thing, but because of that, sometimes you have to share hard things to just as I have a responsibility and leaders have a responsibility to share that's coming today, by the way, but we have responsibilities to do that. We have responsibilities to respond to that as well. Pasta is filled with the stupid Folly of culture that says Rebellion is a mark of maturity. Rebellion is not a mark of maturity.

Good kind caring loving gracious Authority has been placed over you it ought to change how we do respond to it. But we need to also understand that as a relationship that God has actually established in the church. And the reason we need to set this up as for the next week pausing to talk about church discipline his and what that even looks like and so he's establishing setting up. This is the relationship.

Be humble to respond to not just be all about rebellion and doing my own thing.

Compressor gets very very practical or six years at this church another 10 minutes spent at T5 down and bend we saw all kinds of things. People would come in and it said, can you help me with this? Can you help me with that my lights out of control my spending out of control. My sexuality is out of control drugs alcohol all these things and we're teaching and training, but if you don't respond to that, we can't fix anything teaching addresses these things. When you are in a body, if you're not receptive to that and hearing from the spirit, it's just going to be a culture that arrogant prideful and posting favorite teaching. We have these things. It what are we doing here? What are we doing here in Polish this church and says, I'm just coming in word, but I'm coming in power because the word of God has spoken the power takes hold in our lives and it's transformative power. The gospel will be preached week in and week out here is the power of God to save every order. I heart you order allies pre-order desires.

Why come under Authority aren't we all just free in Christ? And aren't we just this and that?

untie something come under Authority because we need guidance leading direction of people to speak into our lives where you going to say what the church is messed up. It's full of problems. So are you welcome welcome you our latest and we understand we do we do we get it we get it. And so I don't we don't and when I always find shocking is when parents are simply yell and scream and try to manipulate their children into doing good. We don't want to be like that or family as a family. We also want to talk about hard things. Joyful things going to celebrate we want a week together. We don't want to just stand up and criticize we want to participate as a call for each and everyone in here you can leave here today. You can criticize everything that went on a talk too long today. The second you should have stayed home. The coffee was bad, but it exploded all downstairs. That's another story. the wonderful one thing sander for cleaning that mess up and criticize

Yes. Or you can join in and you can parents you can see me then fill them your parents do at home on their hands and knees always cleaning up always fixing the problems always making those things that the kids mess up wrong cuz I just can't do it. Right can they don't want to see us grow into maturity and grow in this idea of parenting. Just being critics not being consumers for being those who participate redeemers so many to do a fantastic job of that. This place doesn't function without you and I want to say thank you for that. I want to encourage Us in this next year and what God is doing here at this church. And we continue to participate in the work the God is doing and expanding our influence for the kingdom sake and this community was praying. We're thinking that in our weakness you use us. But I know that there's important piercing words that were spoken today in a myriad of ways whether it's just the own desires of our hearts need to be changed. We've been critical rather be serving if we've been engaged and harmful simple activity that is holding on to it that you would move in and reorder. I thinking framer mine after the cross that we glory and you and you alone. Thank you for your love your kindness and generosity God. Give us time to you in Jesus name.
