The Battle of Blame Game

Genesis 3:12–15 NASB95

The man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate.” Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” The Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, Cursed are you more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you will go, And dust you will eat All the days of your life; And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her seed; He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”

We all know the story of Adam and Eve and how sin entered into the World. Yes, they started what is known today as the “blame game” because they did not want to take responsibility for their disobedience to GOD.

Adam and Eve was in the Garden naked and unaware of their nakedness until sin entered in after they ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil that GOD commanded them not to eat from.

Hearing God in the garden in the cool of the day, Adam and Eve hid themselves.

God called out Adam and Said “ Where are you? God replied to Adam in vs#10-12 - He said I Heard your voice in the garden but was afraid because I was naked, So I hid myself. and He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree which I commanded you not to eat”

How Many of us know we cant hide from God even if we try he is all knowing, so God already knew Adam had eaten. The reason is because he doubted the Word of God or what God had said. So he trusted the Word of the enemy instead of trusting the Word of God. and whenever you trust the enemy over God, you will be naked and ashamed

God knows our hearts he knows what we are about to do before we did it. so stop trying to hide your sins from GOD

Adam responds to God vs 12 - The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate.

Blaming Eve for him eating the Fruit, Adam was the head, the accountable one he should have taken ownership in that conversation and not allow EVE to Face the Enemy alone.

Then Eve starts Blaming as well, vs 13 Then The Lord God said to woman, “What have you done? and the woman said The serpent deceived me and I ate.

Who is Suffering from your sinful choices?

Who or what in our life is suffering because you continue to make the choice of willful sin over and over again and is constantly blaming others? It it your spouse, your children , your marriage, your parents???

I Hate to say it But That was the Beginning of the Blame Game; and it is Still Going on in our Families, No family is exempt from the problems that sin causes in our lives.

Adam and Eve did not Lie to GOD about what they did, they just did not take responsibility for it. They wanted to Blame others and ignore their need to acknowledge their disobedience to GOD.

I Have some Great News, GOD Can still heal us today from that Blame Game.

*To Be Healed We must admit that we are sinners in need of a Savior.

*We Must Accept Responsibility for our sins

*We Must Admit we all Need God’s Help.

If you are willing to do these things GOD’s Grace is sufficient for us and he is able to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Sin produces Disobedience but The Word of God produces Salvation and LIFE.

We don't have to Continue the Blame Game !

None of us are Beyond Gods Reach !

It is at the Cross where God’s Amazing Grace awaits all of us.
