9 “Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers.
10 And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other.
11 And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people.
12 Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold.
13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.

9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.
10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.

i heard a preacher say… many people cannot feel the presence of God.. that simple statement shocked me…
has anyone ever prayed and as you were praying .. all of a sudden you have chills… and where you were was hot…
have you ever been on your knees praying and all of a sudden you felt a presence stand over you.. close to you… and when you open your eyes.. there was noone there.. but all you could do is fall back to your knees and begin to worship?
the preacher said they cant feel God because they dont know God… they dont know God… or there has been a disconnection that has taken place...
III.
in our text our lord is speaking…jesus is speaking.. .. speaking about things to come… the debate in 2020 is if he was talking about things that will transpire in the present day church or the tribulation period....
revelations chapter 6 talks about the seals being broken…
1st- the antichrist
2nd- warefare- nations against nations
3rd-famines
4th and 5th - death and martyrdom ( choosing death rather than give up your religion)
6th - earthquakes- like when a mother has birth pains right before her child comes forth… the earth aches
but in verse 14 he says “then” as if to say.. when all these other things begin…then great distress will come .. and this distress.. this greif will cause many to turn .... because the stress.... the anxiety… the pain.. of this distress.... the pain of … the weight of the undsirable feelings and emotions .. will cause many to depart from the faith....
in other words…
