Big Idea

Tension: What kind of response does Jesus walking on water demand from his disciples?
Resolution: by both following him from obedience and by continuing to trust in a way that gives him glory.
Exegetical Idea: Jesus’ walking on water demands that his disciples follow him out of obedience and continuing to trust in a way that gives him the glory.
Theological Idea: Because of all that Christ has done for us, we follow him in a way that gives him the glory.
Homiletical Idea: We follow our Savior to give him the glory.
