ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT CONGREGATIONAL RETREAT:

ANNOUNCEMENT ABOUT CONGREGATIONAL RETREAT:
We are excited about 2020 and all things we believe God is going to do in our lives and through His people here. We have planned events that will help us grow closer to God and closer to each other!
(Slide) One of the those events is our annual congregational retreat at Sardis Lake Christian camp March 20-22.
Registration is online on our website. This is a great opportunity to get away from the stress of life and get closer to your brothers and sisters in Christ.
COOKS: Also, if you would like to cook one of the meals for this weekend, we need cooks! Please let one of the ministers know!

INVITATION:

DURING HIS MINISTRY JESUS AT TIMES GAVE INVITATIONS FOR PEOPLE TO COME TO HIM FOR LIFE AND SALVATION.
TWO OF THOSE TIMES ARE RECORDED IN THE GOSPEL OF JOHN WHEN JESUS INVITED SOULS TO COME TO HIM BY USING IDEA OF HUNGER AND THIRST.
jOHN
John 6:35 ESV
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.
WHILE WE OFTEN FOCUS MOST ON THE PHYSICAL THINGS IN OUR LIFE, OUR SPIRITUAL NEEDS ARE WHAT ARE REALLY CALLING OUT TO BE FULFILLED.
THE SPIRITUAL HUNGER AND THIRST WE HAVE (THAT WE OFTEN TRY TO FULFILL THROUGH PHYSICAL THINGS) CAN ONLY BE SATIATED THROUGH A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST AND THE HOLY SPIRIT DWELLING IN US.
JOHN 7:
John 7:37–39 ESV
On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ ” Now this he said about the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were to receive, for as yet the Spirit had not been given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
JESUS GAVE THESE INVITATIONS LONG AGO BUT THEY ARE STILL STAND AND ALWAYS OPEN TO ANYONE!
IF YOU NEED TO COME TO CHRIST AND RECEIVE SALVATION THROUGH...
SOMETIMES WE NEED TO COME BACK TO CHRIST OR COME TO HIM BECAUSE WE ARE WEARY OR HEAVY LADEN WITH STRUGGLES...
