The True Loving Relationship

Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant,
is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs.
Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never ends. But as for prophecies, they will come to an end; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end.
Continuing the study on Experiencing God.
Reality: God Pursues a Continuing love relationship with you that is real and personal.
Often times we as hear this passage in wedding as the happy couple change vows. When looking at this passage we see that we have a standard of the way we are called to have true love to each other.
How often do we take the time to see that God shows us time and time again he pursues these traits for us.
We all know of the love that is shown by John 3:16, but what about the physical example of the love that God shows throughout the bible.

Then the angels said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here: a son-in-law, your sons and daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of this place,
for we are about to destroy this place because the outcry against its people is so great before the Lord, that the Lord has sent us to destroy it.”
We all know the passage as the first sign that God showed mercy on the people when he destroy Sodom. When you thing of it this is a Example of Gods love. See God spared them because of the kindness of Lot.
Immediately Jesus spoke to them. “Have courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter answered him, “command me to come to you on the water.”
He said, “Come.” And climbing out of the boat, Peter started walking on the water and came toward Jesus.
But when he saw the strength of the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand, caught hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”
In this passage we see that Jesus reach out showing love to pull peter out of the water. He didn’t brag or boast about it.
Another thing to look and is we know that Jesus was about a Roman Mile away, which is about the length of 4 football fields. when we see that Peter takes some steps to go to Jesus it never says he makes it there it says that he starts to doubt and to sink. jesus came to peter to pull him out of the water.
