Transcript
17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God. 18 For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: The expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; For my expectation is from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my defence; I shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. 8 Trust in him at all times; ye people, Pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
15 My son, if thine heart be wise, My heart shall rejoice, even mine. 16 Yea, my reins shall rejoice, When thy lips speak right things. 17 Let not thine heart envy sinners: But be thou in the fear of the Lord all the day long. 18 For surely there is an end; And thine expectation shall not be cut off. 19 Hear thou, my son, and be wise, And guide thine heart in the way. 20 Be not among winebibbers; Among riotous eaters of flesh: 21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: And drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags. 22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, And despise not thy mother when she is old. 23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; Also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. 24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: And he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, 20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. 19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
