True Self
So how many of you know some one who claims to be a Christian, but you know behind closed doors they are anything but?
You see we seem to have this idea. That God sees us like every one around us sees us. That what ever we are doing in private. when no one is around no one sees.
But thats not the truth.
How often
You see God sees everything we do.
He knows everything we think.
He knows our deepest and darkest secretes.
God knows the stuff we don’t want any one else to know about us.
It tells us in the bible.
21 wouldn’t God have found this out,
since he knows the secrets of the heart?
We can try and hide these things all we want. But God knows.
He’s the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the end.
He knows all and sees all. Even what you don’t want him to see.
What God really wants for us is to be authentic, especially with him.
If you are struggling with some thing don’t try to hide it from God.
He sees it any ways.
Well Jesus was talking to the Pharisees and they were known for that and this is what he had to say.
In Matthew Jesus talks to the Pharisees.
they were considered the religious elite.
They acted like they were perfect.
They made sure every one saw what they were doing.
25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. 26 Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup, so that the outside of it may also become clean.
27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of the bones of the dead and every kind of impurity.
two things we need to remember from this.
But what we don’t
We need to be honest with how we present our faith.
Second is for those of you who may not made a desction for Jesus yet.
You don’t need to change to be better for Jesus before you are saved.
you don’t need to clean your self up. Instead Go for Jesus. allow him to clean you from the inside out. allow him to wash you clean inside and out.
