Take Courage
Take Courage
Jesus tells Peter right away to take courage, and not to be afraid.
What are the storms in your life? Bullies? Homework? Parents fighting or getting divorced? Someone in your family is sick? Those can be considered the storms in your life.
Where do you turn in the storm? Does it help to know that instead of looking at the waves and feeling afraid, that Jesus tells you to come to Him?
Keep the Faith
Keep the Faith
Peter actually walked on the water. Think about that. For a brief moment while his eyes were fixed on God, he had power and strength and courage, all the while getting literally closer to Jesus.
Just that brief moment of faith allowed a miracle to happen.
Then he took his eyes off, and sank. We need to keep our eyes on the Prize (Jesus).
Keeping the faith is hard, but God can be with us even when our faith is weak, we can ask for it to be increased.
Talk to God, read His word. These are ways to increase your faith.
