Introduction

1937 - 19yo Angelo Hays rode a motorcycle

Not real good, crashed head first into brick wall

Mangled badly and no pulse, parents couldn’t see him

Declared dead, buried 3 days later

Insurance company exhumed him after 2 days, he was still warm

In coma requiring very little oxygen

He made a FULL RECOVERY

He invented a security coffin with an oven, fridge and tape player

We were in a bad spot, God didn’t make us stay there...He could have abandoned us!Sometimes we think God owes usIf Christ didn’t die, would God be justified? Or good?God doesn’t love you because you’re lovable!He loves you even though you’re unlovable...HOW DOES THAT MAKE YOU FEEL?If you are saved and don’t deserve it, what’s that called? GRACE

​ ESV8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

I never earned a trophy until high school...

Your salvation is not earned either!

We cannot boast of our salvation either
