God speaks to us through the world
The world doesn’t tell us enough we need the Word of God. The Bible does not tell us everything about God, not even close, but it tells us everything we need to know (sufficiency of Scripture) in order to live our lives pleasing to Him.
Do you want to be able to experience God then it is in the word.
you guys are young, smart, and busy. not to interested in reading a book written 1000 of years ago in a place 1000 of miles away.
Who is Jesus?
the uneducated son of a carpenter, born in a hick town in first century Palestine. He claims to be the eternal Son of God, the second person of the Trinity, and the promised Messiah who has come to rescue his people from slavery to sin, satan, and death. Everywhere he goes there are tons of people hanging on his every word and crying out to be saved. He to is pretty busy. But unlike you he is into the Word all the time.
According to Jesus everything that is written about Him in the Old Testament must happen. Why? According to Jesus the Bible is completely trustworthy. Jesus didn’t just talk about the authority of the Bible he proved it by the way he lived and died.
When tempted Jesus appealed to it.
All the responses came from the Old Testament.
When his religious opponents tried to catch him or prove him wrong he used the bible to correct them, rather then being full of errors Scripture is necessary to keep us from making mistakes in our lives.(inerrancy)
When he was experiencing the worst pain imaginable he quoted the Bible.
Psalm 22:1
