Welcome and Invocation
Good afternoon and thank you for being here today to celebrate love. On behalf of the bride and the groom thank you for being here for this special occasion. Today we celebrate Liz and Justins two stories becoming one. The bible tells us that when a man and woman come together they become one. Today Justin and Liz become one.
Let us Pray….
Sharing of the Vows
Do you Justin take Liz,
Whom you hold by the hand to be your Wedded wife ?
Do you promise before God & these witnesses
To love, honor, comfort and cherish her,
And to remain faithful only to her,
As long as you both shall live ?
Do you Liz take Justin,
Whom you hold by the hand to be your Wedded husband?
Do you promise before God & these witnesses
To love, honor, comfort and cherish him,
And to remain faithful only to him,
As long as you both shall live ?
Repeat after me: Justin
I Justin take you Liz to be
My wedded wife,
To have and to hold from this day forward;
For better and for worse,
For richer and for poorer,
In sickness and in health,
To love and to cherish,
Till death do us part,
I promise you my love
I also commit myself to Maylee, Avery, Vera, and Colin , promising to love you and help guide you through life, during good times and bad.
Repeat after me: Liz
I Liz take you Justin to be
My wedded husband,
To have and to hold from this day forward;
For better and for worse,
For richer and for poorer,
In sickness and in health,
To love and to cherish,
Till death do us part,
I promise you my love.
I also commit myself to Galen , promising to love you and help guide you through life, during good times and bad.
Giving of The Rings
The wedding ring is an unbroken symbol of the everlasting love and commitment between man and wife. Repeat after me: With this ring, I thee wed.
(Justin) With this ring, I thee wed. (Groom places ring on bride’s finger)
(Liz) With this ring, I thee wed.
Charge to Couple
Justin and Liz. Today is a day that has long be dreamed about, prayed for, and planned. Before either of you were a thought in the mind of any human, God made you, knew you, loved you, and has had a plan for you. Today we celebrate your love for one another. While we are thankful for the gift of romantic love and marriage the truth is romantic love and feelings are not why or what we celebrate today. Today we celebrate two becoming one because a love much greater than one we can produce ourselves. Today my prayer is that your marriage is founded in a love that is found in a relationship with Christ. Jesus told a parable of a wise and foolish builder......
So build your life upon the words we find in
12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. –

Prayer of Blessing

Pronouncement and The Kiss
Now that Justin and Liz have given themselves to each other by vows of love and commitment, with the joining of hands and the giving and receiving of rings, I now pronounce them husband and wife. What God has joined together, let nobody separate. Justin you may kiss your bride.
