— And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
— But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Repentance
Repentance
— I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Repent — Metanoeo — “to change ones mind,” “to feel regret.” It carries the idea of turning away from evil and turning to God!
A Sunday School teacher once asked a class what was meant by the word "repentance." A little boy put up his hand and said, "It is being sorry for your sins." A little girl also raised her hand and said, "It is being sorry enough to quit." — Mattoon
Remission of Sins
Remission of Sins
— As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
Remission — Aphesis — this word signifies releasing from bondage or imprisonment. It further implies sending a person away forgiven, with all punishment, obligation, or debt canceled by divine judgment. God pardons sins as if they had never been committed and releases the sinner from all obligation.
