This is Paul’s prayer for Christians of Asia Minor.
I am called & blessed!
This is the main point this morning. We will come back to this in a few moments but I want you to see and hear everything I say this morning through these two words.
We are called into a hope.
We are God’s inheritance.
We are blessed with power.
Paul uses 4 different words for power in this small section. The point is regardless of what type of power exists Christ has it. Notice the truth:
God is for us.
We need the Holy Spirit.
All things are under Jesus.
The Church is this witness.
Jesus is the fullness of God.
We are not to live defeated.
The spiritual forces, and I think this is what Paul is alluding to, are under and subordinate to who Christ is.
