We are experiencing the effects of the 5 yr drought, Government Mismanagement and resulting corruption, private sector greed and struggling economy. People’s general spirit of entitlement where the culture believe: You do not have to work to receive and income, leaders are chosen not because of their proven success but their ability to be loud and raunchy. Success is measured on online followers and economic profit, instead of how many people have received employment.
Remember: The Kingdom of God is never in a crisis. “Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.” () We need to revisit, and repurpose ourselves according to God’s dominion mandates, of why He created us. For there is no thing in creation, where there is no provision for purpose. Your provision is in your purpose. Discover your purpose and you will find your provision.
According to scriptures poverty is the result of only two things: Laziness and Greed.
“The greedy bring ruin to their households” (, NIV).
“All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty” (, NIV).
What you cannot manage, you will lose.
IN times of crisis we automatically learn to manage our resources better. One of God’s primary Kingdom keys
Management Definition: management is the effective, efficient, correct, and timely use of another person’s property and resources for the purpose for which they were delegated with a view to producing the expected added value.
This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, before any plant of the field was in the earth and before any herb of the field had grown. For the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the earth, and there was no man to till the ground; ()
This scripture implies: God will not give you more, until He can trust you that you will be able to manage more.
Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” ()
Resources:
Primary Economies: Mining and Agriculture.
And the gold of that land is good. ()
Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. ()
We need at this point of time men like Issachar “who understood the times and knew what Israel should do” ()
How did Adam first managed resources?
1. Framing
1. Framing
IN photography you frame a picture, and compose it according to the law of threes. This is what is most pleasant for the eye, and will draw people’s attention into the picture. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. ()
H3336. יֵצֶר yēṣer: A masculine noun meaning form, framing, purpose, imagination. One use of this word was to refer to a pottery vessel formed by a potter (i.e., that which was formed []). Another example of a formed object was a graven image (). The psalmist said that man was formed from the dust (). This word also carries the connotation of something thought of in the mind, such as wickedness in people’s hearts (); or something treasured or stored in the heart ().
Framed: 2675. καταρτίζω katartízō; fut. katartísō, from katá (G2596), with, and artízō (n.f.), to adjust, fit, finish, from ártios (G0739), fit, complete. The fundamental meaning is to put a thing in its appropriate condition, to establish, set up, equip, arrange, prepare, mend. Also from artízō (n.f.): exartízō (G1822), to accomplish.
“Be sure you know the condition of your flocks, give careful attention to your herds; for riches do not endure forever” (, NIV).
3. Naming
3. Naming
brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. () The first step in the management of your time, is by giving time a name: Time-management. Name your spending – Budget. Name your thoughts – psychology. Name your food – Diet. Name your future – strategic planning. Name your resources – stock-taking. The way to control an animal is to name it.
He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own? ()
3. Trade-offs
3. Trade-offs
Managements involves trade-offs. Because of limited resources like time, money, strength, capacity we cannot have it all. It is simply reality, you have to make a decision. What to keep, and what to let go off. What to do, and what not to do. What to eat and what not to eat.
4. Strategy
4. Strategy
“If you solicit good advice, then your plans will succeed. So don’t charge into battle without wisdom, for wars are won by skillful strategy.” TPT The Bible is a collection of Divine strategies for war, for provision, for safe-keeping, etc.
“On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made” (, NIV).
“Give portions to seven, yes to eight, for you do not know what disaster may come upon the land” (, NIV).
“The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it” (, NIV).
“A good man leaves an inheritance for his children’s children” (, NIV).
“The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender” (, NIV).
“A good name is more desirable than great riches” (, NIV).
“…he who gathers money little by little makes it grow” (, NIV).
5. Write the vision down and run with it.
5. Write the vision down and run with it.
Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. ()
A biblical image of godly management is Gardening. Like everything the enemy brings extreme of bad management, slave management, over-management etc. The goal of the gardener is to optimise the natural growth, and fruitfulness of all the plants in his or her gardening. So God wants us to manage our people, so they will flourish! Manage our time, so that we have time for our loved ones and rest. Manage our finances so we have more to give. Manage our resources, so that there will be enough for future generations.
