Many songs speak of God’s mercies anew:
Many songs speak of God’s mercies anew:
There is the Sovereign Grace song, Mercies anew.
Great is Thy Faithfulness speaks of Mercies anew.
What does it mean? Mercies anew.
The Idea is that every morning God’s mercy is available to us.
We read of this idea in .
(ESV)
22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

The Gospel of Christ.
(ESV)
Ephesians 4:7 ESV
7 But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.
9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.
It is by Christ’s blood that we receive mercies every day.
- The fact that you can count on blessings and mercy of the Father every day is because of Christ.
- That fact that you are able to come to the Father for forgiveness is because of Christ.
I want us to remember and celebrate that as we take up the Lord’s Supper.
***********************Prayer*************************
As part of our memorial service, we would like to take a time of reflection.
Take time to remember that by Christ’s blood we have Mercies Anew.
Warning: Paul gave a warning regarding the Lord’s Supper. (ESV)
Close Communion Explanation: Because of Paul’s warning we practice close communion. If you are a baptized member of a like-minded church than we would love to have you partake communion with us. However, if you are not a baptized member of a like-minded church we ask that you would respect our remembrance by allowing the Lord’s table to pass by you.
