Introduction
This message is for believers. I am not preaching condemnation on the world or those we know that are not in relationship with Christ. People of this world will do what that world says is acceptable.
How many of you when you got married planned to have an extra marital affair? (No one plans this)

24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh. 25 Adam and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.
shame: buwsh (boosh); to be ashamed; to feel completely worthless.
Imagine how Adam and Eve felt before sin entered the world. They were naked and felt no shame.
Example: When children do something wrong what do they do? (Look down). Our dog Daisy Rey
We live in a culture that does not like shame. People are free to do what they like and are taught to not be shameful about it.
shame: buwsh (boosh); to be ashamed; to feel completely worthless.
7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. 8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. 9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” 10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”
7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.
I hope you can see this! When we do something wrong, God doesn’t hide from us, we hide from Him. God looks for us!
9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” 10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”
Do something wrong—Feel shame—Satan connects what we did with who we are. Satan connects the ACT to our IDENTITY.
Believe only way to be safe is to hide. Keep it a secret.
Secrecy is the enemy of intimacy

8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light
Never find healing in the dark. Shame grows best in the dark.
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord.
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.
“a hint of sexual immorality” =
We think that adultery is the Sin Line, but the Sin Line begins way before that!
That’s why Jesus said:
27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
This is why Proverbs teaches this:
7 Now then, my sons, listen to me; do not turn aside from what I say. 8 Keep to a path far from her, do not go near the door of her house,
8 Remove your way far from her, And do not go near the door of her house,
How can we stay pure?
Psalm 119
9 How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. 10 I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. 11 I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Seek God. Passionate pleasing God! Have to be pure—Want pure!
Secrecy is the enemy of intimacy!
Secrecy is the enemy of intimacy!
13 Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
Confess & Receive with Grace
Confess—Receive with Grace
We confess our sins to God for forgiveness, we confess our sins to people for healing.
We confess our sins to God for forgiveness, we confess our sins to people for healing.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
