Footprints of Jesus

Sweetly, Lord, have we heard Thee calling, Come, follow Me! And we see where Thy footprints falling Lead us to Thee.

Chorus: Footprints of Jesus, That make the pathway glow; We will follow the steps of Jesus Where’er they go.

If they lead through the temple holy, Preaching the Word; Or in homes of the poor and lowly, Serving the Lord. (Chorus)

If Thy way and its sorrows bearing, We go again, Up the slope of the hillside, bearing Our cross of pain. (Chorus)

Then, at last, when on high He sees us, Our journey done, We will rest where the steps of Jesus End at His throne. (Chorus)

Channels only, blessed Master, But with all Thy wondrous power Flowing through us, Thou canst use us Every day and every hour.

Just a channel full of blessing, To the thirsty hearts around; To tell out Thy full salvation All Thy loving message sound.

Emptied that Thou shouldest fill me, A clean vessel in Thy hand; With no power but as Thou givest Graciously with each command.

Witnessing Thy power to save me, Setting free from self and sin; Thou who boughtest to possess me, In Thy fullness, Lord, come in. (Chorus)
