You know if I have to say what one of my in my walk with God is is my thing and it's hard to say. You want to play yourself with a person who is stronger?

What happened? wood understand where I'm coming from the class struggle. Sometimes the struggle to understand and sometimes the struggle.

Especially when what we want so bad or what we think should happen so bad just didn't come in this morning and Jane is going to deal with some of these. He's going to deal with fake James going to deal with work and just going to deal with the tongue.

But this morning we're going to start with the book of James.

So if you have your Bibles James chapter 1 verse 1 it says James a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ to the Twelve Tribes, which are scattered abroad greeting my brethren when you fall into divers temptation of your faith worketh patience will let patience have her perfect work that you may be perfect and entire wanting nothing. Let us pray Heavenly Father. We thank you for your word. We thank you for your thank you for your care that you would help us what the word says. And seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit on how to apply to our lives. I pray this morning that you would hide me behind the cross and all the stuff. We praise you and all of God's children said

I'm going to start this morning with an introduction to James because there are many different.

This was a common name for this time here. There was James the son of Zebedee James the son of my face. James the younger There was James the father of Judas not Judas Iscariot was James the brother of Jude which was also the half-brother of the Lord Jesus Christ.

And that is who this James is. This is James the half brother of the Lord Jesus Christ a half-brother of Jude. If you have your Bibles and you go through your Bible index, you will find a book that isn't that is just a one chapter.

This book here. Was written by James who was a leader of the church in Jerusalem. We see this and Acts chapter 12 verse 17 verse 17 for reference. This is also the dream and his brother. Jamie Swiss separated because James was a special.

This book starting with this morning is one of the oldest New Testament letters to have been written and most scholars believe that this book was written around 47 or 48 the Jerusalem Council. Now James, what is interesting is Jane?

James is not a Believer. He's the brother of the Lord Jesus.

But it wasn't just James. It was in a Believer, but there was some others it wasn't Believers in the household that Jesus grew up in also. What takes place notice at first one? Somewhere along the line. There is a conversion in the life of James James chapter 1 verse 1 and 2.

James was in a believer. How do we know this? John Chapter 7 verses 1 through 5 I want to take you there. We even find the Lord appear to Jane in 1st Corinthians chapter 15 verse 7 through the resurrection of apostleship. So we know that James is a belief. So there was the conversion of that took place to make this letter in the Percocet which James wrote this letter. Now this epistle is considered a general epistle and what that means is not directed toward any specific group or in church. It is just in general to the Jew. Or we can say to anyone who wants to read it. We read the book of James. Now that has he carries a lot of weight for us as Christians because we can read the book of how to handle how to handle our tongue. We can see where our worst come into our Salvation walk. We can see all these things because it wasn't for a particular. It was a general.

I also want you to notice that there are two basic themes that run through the book of James. number one It is hatred for hypocrisies. We will see as we go to the Book of James if there is a hatred for hypocrisy Jesus rebuked the religious leaders for apocracy.

Because why? Because they were true believers. They didn't believe in the Lord Jesus and there was never any instances where there was communion as will say between Jesus and the Pharisees and describe the religious leaders of his day.

The next theme number 2 is warning against not being fully surrendered to Christ. I want to stop here for just a moment because we go through this.

I do what's expected of me, but in my own personal life nobody else knows.

I pray that we go through this that the Lord will bring conviction into your life and that that Well dig into me. So those are the two things.

The one thing that we have to understand that you have to love the Lord your God. with all your heart with all your soul and with all of your mind.

You can tell half-hearted worship. Look when it comes to the Lord Jesus Christ. There's no half-hearted salvation tomorrow. I just got paid today black and white Switch turning on and off.

It must be true. It must be genuine. There has to be a love for the Lord Jesus Christ, but I want to go into the book this morning. Now, I gave you that by way of introduction this morning, but I really want to go in and look at it.

this morning in James chapter 1 verse 1 noticed that James refers to himself as a slave or a servant to the Lord Jesus Christ. This was showing his humility.

I never met anyone who was full of faith. That was not also hump. There's something about faith in humility that go hand-in-hand a prideful person will rely solely on what they can accomplish.

They are their own God but a person who is humble relies on the Lord Jesus Christ a person who is humble relies on God a person who is humble knows that.

Has given you what you have. God will provide that which there is no doubt about it this morning, whatever it is you need in your life.

You may not understand it, but God has a way of providing. Stay humble. Stay faithful. We're going to get into Temptations and we're going to get into trial and he says my brother when you fall into divers Temptations. What is that mean? Well count it all joy here means to consider or Reason to yourself. Think about it. Think about what's going on.

When something comes your way whether it's a trial weather's tragic.

Count it all joy when you go through trials.

I'm going through this. I'm supposed to count it. Joyful that I'm going through this. That's not with the versus meaning what it means. You count it all joy. Does it mean to rejoice in the tragedy? It doesn't mean to rejoice in the trial, but it means that God is going to bring you through it. That dog has a reason few going through. I know you would never rejoice when something is tearing you down or tear you apart, but you rejoice.

I'm going to stay focused on him and that's where my attention is going to go. Give me an example.

You never rejoice in the fact that you have a son who is gotten a girl. He's not married to pregnant with you. You never Rejoice over there, but you would Rejoice over the birth of that child in the bless that child with brain. How many ants would grieve that this morning? Who never Rejoice over something that takes place because of I'm a sinful act or because of a disease what that was.

But I will be the first one in the hospital.

And I hope that little baby. You don't rejoice in the trial, but you were Jewish and knowing that God is going to bring you through that trial. the stigma

but you would find so much joy in the birth of that grandchild. You say God has a way of turning our messes into something beautiful. I will wait till 5. Still find a way to show us favor.

We should look to Christ example describing Hebrews chapter 12 Christ and not rejoice in The Shame of the Cross Joyce in there. Remember Jesus said if it be thy will let this cup pass from me. He rejoiced in the shame of the Cross, but he rejoiced in the results because Jesus said

I was wrong. I knew that the only way that Sam was going to be paid for was by the cross. Yes. There was shame in the cross. Yes, we know this yet. They look like

How many are glad to know that this morning? Count it all joy, when you fall into divers Temptation When Trials Come knowing that God has got a plan. I don't know what the trial is in your life.

I don't know what you're facing this morning.

Not your spouse and can't seem to find anything good to say to you.

Not the devil. He can't take you out.

If he's the one that has a hold of your life. He's the one that belonged to this morning. Do you think he's not concerned with whatever happens in your life? Absolutely.

Put another way that it speaks of these trials. are various amazing come from all kind of

physical trials

such as bodily bodily limitations or disease

emotional trap Such as fear. worry

spiritual trials such as fry Disobedience or outright reject But all of these trials are various and they come in many different forms.

But I want you to understand something this morning. We hear this said a lot, but there's truth to it. Never allow you.

If you're a child of God. I think anybody's going through that we have to say is come through that closer to God again. There's a purpose for that. God has a purpose for everything that comes into your life.

You know, I know I'm speaking to to some that that have face cancer.

And I'm speaking song that have gone through changes in lifestyle and loss of income and all of these things and I know you're thinking what is God's purpose for me?

Let me assure you this morning if you keep your eyes on him and not on your circumstance not on your situation. Number one he will provide for you and number two when you come. You will have a rich relationship with him.

You see God's not so much concerned about what you're going through right now. Is he is

And sometimes we get stat. Sometimes we get to the point to where I'll do it if I do and I want you to know this morning.

Jesus said love the Lord with all our heart with all our soul and with all our money.

If you were to feel like that about your relationship.

And that's an overly care what happens to me. That's just

Sometimes things coming through a lot to check its up. To get us back on track.

But I want you to notice here. And this verse it is not the testing of your faith that brings patience and endurance but the successful person of the tennis that brings the approval of God in your life.

The more you have been getting locked up smaller your view of God is old, but for those that have gone through trials. God has a bigger.

Exactly when they evaluate themselves and see what kind of state they're really.

God is a big God. Now this morning is God a big God to you if you go through things in life, and yes God is a big God tee if you're going through something right now. Let me stay focused on God.

God wants you to trust and no matter what you're going through. God wants you to trust him no matter what you're facing in life.
